Hello,

So, today I got my GTA IV game.
I installed it and start it to play.
But when I started to play it was ****ing slow..
I don't know why..
I do not have a "professional or gaming computer"
But I also don't have a junk one..
It's a:

Acer Aspire M5910

Intel Core i3-550
Nvidia GeForce G405
4GB ram DDR3
500GB of HDD

If you want I can give more information, just ask what you
Want to know!

Please, help me out! It's not fun playing while it's slow..
Thanks!

I think the graphics card is not capable of playing this game. If you must, turn all the graphics sliders to zero, shadows off, etc.. it may just work.

Your computer is too weak for Grand Theft Auto IV, which is also pretty bad ported.

naw naw naw, he just need to switch out that video card, cause it probably have like only 8 shader cores and other low budget restraints. 9800gt/gts 450/gt 640 added to that system will work wonders. even 9500gt will work @ 1024x768

i had that GPU too you can run GTA IV or EFLC on that with 1024x768 with texture on medium everything on low draw distance to 16 with definition =ON just install patch 1.0.4.0 you will get an fps of 24

if you are playing just gta iv then instal windows xp because in that case you will enjoy gta iv at a fps of 30

anyone here don't say that it's not possible because i have tried it myself

my PC specs are Q6600 with 2gb ram and nvidia geforce 405

Oh really? Thanks man! But that patch thing, isn't that something like a crack?
Because I don't like cracks.
Where can I get that patch?

why the hell would you even suggest running windows xp? are you an idiot? it would be a step backward and he would lose 20% of his available resources. OP dont listen to this clown.

windows xp uses less resources and i have seen myself that it runs gta iv better with low powered configurations, but i don't think original poster should install xp because of that. xp getting ready to die soon (i will still be using it, but for regular users using windows-based machines to access the internet and all its dangers - NAH)

You will also need to buy a proper power supply if you're still using that OEM PSU which came with the pre-built computer if you are considering buying a more powerful graphics card, I am not sure that OEM one can handle anything much more power hungry.
