I think GTA Online is actually very good so far, for all the people that want you to only be able to see your friends and crew, that seems ridiculous, it's a game about thieves, drug dealers, and more, why would you want to play without other thieves, drug dealers, and more.  It's not supposed to be a game of trust, play smart, play well, you'll come out on top.  You also can see who is blasting the music, just press down on the d-pad enough to when the player list shows up, it'll show who is currently talking (or blasting music).  But, I do wish people were able to play, as only a couple of my friends and I can actually play, and the rest of my friend group is left to watch.  and that's simply unfortunate.

Its not that I would like to play without other dealers and theives it that it would be nice If there was a little more element of surprise. I don't like that someone can look at the map and see exactly where I'm at at all times. It would be more fun to just run into people. Its like playing Cod with the blackhawk up all the time.

1.) Crew safehouse: SUPER expensive - in the several million dollar range. Managed by the leader and commissioners. Perhaps in a large warehouse - have ability to store and recall vehicles (with permissions similar to current garages), but don't have them VISIBLE - do it like the hangar in single player (just so it isn't cluttered and so more cars can fit). Add in permissions so that cars can only be taken by their owners, unless their owners allow for crew access. Allow heists, when they become available, to be planned from here. Allow anyone in the crew access at any time, regardless of who is on. ONLY crew may enter.

2.) Multiplayer triathlons - I know, not a huge deal, but I'm surprised it wasn't included as a type of race.

3.) Casino - blackjack, poker, slot machines. Horse races, dog races, organized drag racing. How are these things not included? You put a damned CASINO and HORSE TRACK in the game already.

4.) Bump up the amount of money we're allowed to gift. It's my money. I either earned it or paid for it. I should be able to do with it what I damn well please. Putting in a delay is just an annoyance and serves no further purpose.

Just in case someone from R* is watching (I know it's a long shot) but when you purchase a property, I personally would like to see it available for all your characters you create (Like the option for your crew to use your cars when needed)... Especially considering your funds are tied to the same bank/XBL account! 

 

Is anyone else in agreement here??

-more stealth missions (i.e. Sneak into warehouses to steal high end vehicles)
-player initiated drug deals
-previous gta characters to play as (or use as a father in the character creation system)

I think it would be cool to release special equipment/ weapons that can’t be bought, but only found or stolen via missions of varying difficulty.

 

What I’m thinking is, for example, put 3 jet packs inside an underground portion of the military base. Then, like a heist, players have to team up and make a semi elaborate plan to break in, steal the jet packs, and get out. If they successfully escape, they keep the jet packs forever.

 

These types of missions would always be available and they could act as a sort of badge of honor for people who managed to beat a tough mission.

I'd like a better insurance system, if your car has a lot of damage, the insurance company should cover the cost of repair for a car. For example my friend drove my car down Chilliad, and it looked like this:

phone invites, there are friends in the phone in contacts, there should be an invite option there, not pause menu, pause menu is bollocks, all interactions in the friend section of pause menu should be in phone

 

 

add a team deathmatch option in quick join, not just banded together with deathmatch

 

oh and @above - go into a mission or a game and back to free roam

that fixes my car

another one - better money management, like better choices for managing the bank account, maybe we type in what amount we want on the keypad instead of choosing from silly options that don't include $1000 or $5000, clickig twice is time wasted

This goes along with better character customization but....

Female characters that are not freakishly tall? D: Why have such a wide selection of heels in the game, when if you wear them you literally tower over everyone in the game (aside from Lamar. 

Also, why can't you just add in pedestrian hair/clothes as options in the game? I had assumed this would be a no-brainer, as it's just reusing assets already in the game, but I guess not...

Agree! I cant see wy we could get all clothes from npcs aviable in the stores.

I'd love it if they would remove the stupid "police after you if you drive a stolen car"... Now you basically steal a car off the street just like in single player and you get chased by the police because a freakin mall cop saw you... It's really frustrating...

Whenever you pick up cash from a conscience store it should be counted as cash from a job so you may more easily distribute it anongst friends who've helped you during the heist instead of having to deal with the $5000 daily transfer limit. I should be able to give my friend a percentage of whatever large sum of money I just picked up.

Make a deal with Pandora radio to stream Pandora thru your car speakers or over your phone if you buy headphones or something like that. Players could still listen to in game radio but also turn on pandora if they prefer. Pandora gets massive visibility and taps into a unique advertising market that is sure to garner exposure, rockstar could receive money from pandora for the worth of the advertising. Everyone wins!

Add a mod shop customizable option for large SUV's/Pickups to put side steps on which unlocks a vehicles ability to have an additional two "outside" passengers who hang onto the sides like the NOOSE agents do. This option should only be available for large trucks like the sandking or SUV's like the Park Ranger. Would be an interesting tool for jobs and heists and would allow for more dynamic car vs car type battles.

Remove auto aim from online. Everyone should be on free aim 100% of the time whether PvE or PvP. The auto aim system is way too overpowered and death matches are just competitions to see who can press "L2 + R2 = Win!" The fastest. There just isn't any skill involved and it's a ridiculous cat and mouse game of cover where everyone is apparently an expert marksman with a pistol at 100 yards. That's just stupid. If you can get a headshot with a pistol at 100 yards with the lowest shooting skill possible... I don't know? Just me?

Two different passive modes.

One on foot like it is now for $100 but it will also protect you from being run over. (Player would just be pushed off to the side of the vehicle out of the way without receiving damage or falling) or perhaps the player would be a static unmovable object. If an enemy tried to run over a passive player on foot it would be like running into a telephone pole... Or if you run over somebody in passive mode you take the damage instead of the person you hit (like friendly fire auto redirect)

Another passive mode for vehicles. This one should be dramatically more expensive. Perhaps $1000 and should only last for a limited amount of time instead of permanent like how it works on foot. Players driving a vehicle in vehicle passive mode will not be able to be shot inside their vehicles. Additionally, if your in passive driving mode you will not be able to kill anyone by running them over (consider reversing the aforementioned system above for driving damage) so if you're in passive driving mode and try to run over somebody they are either static, or are pushed aside without damage, or the driver in passive mode takes whatever damage he would have dealt and possibly suicides.

Voice proximity chat is a must, It gets a bit annoying when you hear everyone, No I don't want to sent it to friends only, I want to speak to everyone but not when I'm on the other side of the map, Would make more use of the Phone calls and texts


100% agreed. There should be a radius that a player is able to chat to others in. Like a shouting distance. I think this can be enhanced by creating a "communication" ability which would increase a players shouting distance. This abilities progression is via you headset, the more you play with a headset, the higher this ability becomes.

Please put the aircraft back at the airport. The place feels... Useless? I understand taking out the leer jets and all the expensive private planes but you could at least have left the 747's just so we still see traffic. The 747 should still be pilotable since it's so big and lumbering that it's really only a novelty anyway.

And can I get my blimp online? You put helicopters EVERYWHERE (more places than in single player) but took out the blimps from the pre order? Why? The bling is just a super slow and easily destroyed helicopter... I don't think it would be overpowered or anything for the pre-order people.

We all know that GTA fans since GTA IV wanted to experience the life of a police officer (the good guys) in addition to the life of a criminal who kills everyone who stands in his way. There have been numerous mods trying to achieve that (a great example is LCPD: First Response) which give players the oppurtunity to hunt down criminals and patrol the streets (but only in Singleplayer).

A revolutionary wanted level system inside a special multiplayer mode could give players what the always wanted: High speed chases, shootouts and brutal arrests. This is how the system could work:

We know that multiplayer will support 16 players, so we take those and split them into two teams (Police and Criminals). The ideal police:criminal ratio should be 2 players with police for every criminal player. Criminals can do a number of offences (killing stealing destroying, doing heists) in order to accumulate xp that increase their rank. Higher rankings for criminals means higher accuracy when firing weapons, a health bonus or extra xp. When a crime is witnessed they gain a wanted level (like in Singleplayer) depending on the severity of the crime. Players working with law enforcement will be dispatched to the nearest criminal marked on their radar. The Cops can call for AI police help depending on the wanted level the criminal they chase has. For instance, a two star wanted level could give Cops the ability to call for an extra police interceptor (controlled by AI), a helicopter at a four star wanted level etc. The Criminals on ther other hand could use certain special abilities to aid their escape i.e a jammer that blocks police radar. The Criminals gain extra xp for defeating cops, destroying property and escaping from the law.

Specials roles could be assigned to Cops such as Dispatcher. The Dispatcher could have a sattelite view of the map with all the locations of wanted criminals and allies. He or she could try to determine the criminals' route and deploy/spawn roadblocks (AI controlled) at key intersections to stop them in their tracks. It could also be possible to use his microphone to coordinate his allies. For that matter, players eager to play as cops could create clans where each one has a role and know each other, hence they are more effective. The same can be applied to criminals but instead of roles thay have as said before a ranking system i.e. the best player is the leader of the clan. Other roles include the Police Helicopter Pilot who brings marksmen (AI) next to criminals to bring them down or the SWAT Specialist who drives a truck full of AI SWAT members on scene

Arrests are the best way for cops to gain extra xp (more xp has similar benefits to those the criminals have) and is much more preferable than a takedown. Criminals have the option to surrender because even for them its better to surrender than dying trying to escape (penalties for dying) however having a clean escape still is better than both. The Federal Prison could be used to house criminals for a certain ammount of time while giving them options for recreational activities and ways to escape if they decide to. Escaping shouldn't be easy and escapees should't have any firearms. Escaping is better that staying in since it awards more xp. A prison stay should be about 10 minutes give or take for an hour of gameplay.

A multiplayer mode like this one is highly unlikely but it is not something impossible. It would be something never done before and emergency services enthusiasts would buy the game exclusively for this type of multiplayer. It took me an hour to write this and I'm not a game designer but I think those ideas can be used by actual programmers and designers to actually make this happen.

8v8 DEA vs Drugrunners
8 guys start at SE docks on foot, first vehicle they climb into is designated the stash car, so that vehicle must make it some how NW to Paleto bay to a boat on the beach for delivery. Player icons DO NOT Show. (Havnt been online yet, but its much harder if you can see each other) 8 DEA have access to two fast choppers, 2 super fast DEA cars, 2 high horsepower SUV cars. Gameplay timers set for 1 hour in real time, how many drug deliveries can runners make. They must also drive back to docks, not beaming from point to point for the runners. So how many drug runs can you make vs 8 real player DEA agents aided by any AI cops you also piss off. DEA start with a Big Paycheck that gets split between 8 guys, every successful drig delivery takes X amount out of DEA paycheck and into that individual drug runners payday, drugrunners dont split loot.

Convoy Heist
8 guys with no icons in an unmarked diesel must get the gold truck from North to South. 1 truck driver and 7 escorts. No military aircraft allowed by either side. Gang must quickly locate convoy, and take gold truck back to their base, it cant be destroyed.
