Well if they truly want to make this the ultimate open world game then this is what needs to be done

1.Add more activites. The more things players can do with their friends the better. Full Casino, mini games at the carnival,basketball,etc...

2.Keep adding to the customisation for cars,players,apartments,bikes,etc...

3.Add more interiors. This is a big deal when having shootouts and to make the world feel even more alive. We have all these bldgs in there like the casino, burger shot,etc... and we cant enter them. I dont even care if they copy and paste alot of these houses. It would be awesome to be on the run and be able to run through any house to try and get away and the prison too plus having all these interiors will be an awesome way to create better heist too. That would kick ass to be able to rob a casino or break someone out of prison lol

4.Add more cars n make other stuff driveable like trains

5.Add more weapons

6.Let us be cops and chase ppl down n arrest them

Far more customization options than in the Single Player mode. Including Claudes hairstyle from GTA 3 (was it 3? oh well).

The ability to 're-do' your character when you first make them. I don't mind the fairly random character creation option, but if I'm not happy with their appearance, I'd like a 'Re-do' option so I can explore other appearances.

I would like to see tagging and bagging of NPCs such as zip tying people during heists so they cant bolt or zaping people with the stun gun, zip typing them, and the ability to carry them.

How cool would a mission be if you had to get to a High Value Target out of a building to a roof for a helicopter extraction.

Also, I don't know if they could code this in to multiplayer but I would like to see roping in from choppers. NPC police do this and I think it would make for some cool missions.

I would imagine more hairstyles, clothing, possibly tattoos, will be a given, since the existing options largely only apply to Michael, Franklin and Trevor. What I'm hoping for is more motorcycles (Zombie, Angel, Freeway, et al) and more vehicle customisation options. I'm hoping for an extension of the list of vehicles that can be modified, and the ability to put your crew emblem on vehicles. I'd really like my crew to have our own personalised Gang Burritos.

My main wish for GTA online is that the on foot camera is fixed. There needs to be an option to disable the auto-centering camera (when you are on foot) if this game is to be taken seriously for 3rd person shooting. You need to be able to navigate the camera to look in a different direction to the direction you are jogging without having to battle with the camera (as it's trying to centre). Admittedly it is less of an issue in GTA V, when compared to GTA IV (where the camera essentially ruined the game for me) but it's still an annoyance.

I'm surprised you cannot disable auto-centering in the single player game. Why does Rockstar North continue to have a strong auto-centering camera? All other 3rd person shooters do not use auto-centre - or have the option to disable (incl. Rockstar games such as RDR and LA Noire). Shooting in cars, piloting helicopters and planes would also probably benefit from a reduced strength auto-centre (allowing you to actually look around and admire the amazing scenery without having the bloody camera trying to make you look forward all the time!).

I'm thinking that Rockstar will hopefully have the option to disable auto-centering on GTA online as I'm hoping the avatar will automatically run (i.e. no need to hold A/X button - as in RDR) therefore freeing up your right thumb to control the camera. Please Rockstar, this really does need rectifying as if it isn't some people using free-aim will probably go back to other 3rd person shooters (as shooting is going to be a large part of the GTA online experience).

They will probably only have appertemants/penthouses, since a house you can see would be confusing, since more people would want to buy it.

The ability to become a cop, with career progression, trophies, achievements, a leaderboard, etc. etc...

That would really put the cat among the pigeons.

Oh, I thought of something else. This is way out there, but most wishes are, so what the hell. Some day, I'd like to see trikes in GTA. You know, big converted choppers with the huge rear end and a big ass seat. Awesome.

I thought this would be a great idea, to kind of make up for no vigilante, firefighting, and ambulance missions. I'm not complaining that there isn't enough to do, but I think would be a pretty cool way to do it. also, becoming a cop wouldn't make sense because everyone is a career criminal. ONLY WAY TO DO IT IS TO BECOME BATMAN

Is anyone else worried that rockstar are going to shape the world and content depending on what the majority of people want?...Meaning that, what I would like is realistically not what everyone else wants...for example, the millions of screaming kids will get the stupid sh*t they ask for...

I wrote this on the patch suggestions but it is as relevant here i think.

1. New and better car customizations.

2. Make Cluckin' Bell, Burger Shot and Up And Atom enterable, robbable and enabled to buy food from (Apparently all houses are shells that are able to be coded to feature interior so this is possibly).

3. Bring back the knock out feature. It sucks that you kill people by hitting them once. And make it possibly to shot peds and cops in the leg.

4. Put an option to disable that ridiculous and annoying black & white flash every time you kill someone. It's f*cking annoying as f*ck!

5. More side activities with friends. Why no bowling when Trevor can have bowling shirts? Why no pool? Why is there only ONE dart place in the whole Los Santos area?

6. The wanted system needs an overhaul. It doesnt make any sense that you get a wanted star after you beat up 4 guys in the f*cking desert. Who the f*ck called the police? It's stupid.

7. More choppers. Bring back the ones introduced in TLAD. There is a motorcycle manufacturer called Western Motorcycle Company. Los Santos is as west as it can be. It doesn't make any sense not to be able to buy Harley Davidsons form their website.

8. Bring back the Vortex (hovercraft) and the go-kart. Go-kart would be so unbelievably cool to race with online.

9. More side activities alone. Wouldn't it be so f*cking awesome to be able to sleep in a Camper car? The option to buy a camper and buy a fishing rod to go camping. Or buy a tent and sleep anywhere you want in the wilderness while hunting or just be one with the nature.

10. Able to cut my own elk meat. We could in RDR, why not in GTA V?

11. Make the fruitstands at the side of the roads robbable and so you can buy fruits there.

Don't forget Steel Horse, the manufacturers of the Zombie, who could easily have more motorbikes attributed to their company name if R* wanted.

1. sexual acts online players can preform with each other

2. the ability to keester drugs if dealing

3. ice cream truck

4. limo pickup alternative to cab

5. Spy game mode: players try to complete objectives while blending in with npc, the other players try to kill them, if they kill civilian they lose. Similar to sniper mission with bearded guy at party

6. car mounted tear gas launcher

7. smoke grenades

8. Flipped Mission, a random player gets the option to tip off the police during a heist to get a large reward regardless of outcome.

9. Territory, players can claim territory by setting "claim on function" then driving around map to claim area, once claimed they can collect money from businesses/hookers. when two players/crews claim the same area a gang war is initiated and all players involved are flagged for pvp. if an area is claimed by two parties no one can collect.

10. Safe House Guards, Players can hire safe house guards for a weekly fee, the guards could range from a rent-a-cop to full merryweather private military

11. Hit Squad. Players can hire a hit squad to attack a specific safe house on the map the hit squad could range from meth biker to triad

12. Manhunt Mode. 1 vs 15, the single player has indicators of every armored vehicle on map his mission is to keep robbing while the 15 have to kill him, the person who gets the killing blow becomes the robber. If the player doesn't attack a truck for a certain period of time he shows up on the 15's minimaps.

seriously this is the biggest mistake video game companies are making, either they are bullsh*tting and don't really listen, or they listen and the game devolves into what world of warcraft has become.

I like the idea I read that you can play as a police officer. Actually spawn in at the LAPD police station or something like that and I have squad car and spike strips and everything. You respond to players who have a wanted level and all that and you can also patrol the streets and stuff.

I personally would like it that our name tags aren't floating over our heads in game. We should be able to blend in with a crowd or drive through traffic and lose a tail. We should only appear on the mini map and only if we make sound, same circle idea as they have now but the largeness of the circle depends on how loud you are.

And seeing as its only, I can only assume pressing pause isn't an option to view the map. So the map should be able to be viewed as a see through map and can be displayed over the screen while still being active , like driving or running.

More sports! Like Boxing or going to a Dojo to build up your strength.

Plus I don't know if you clothing options will be different based on their lifestyle, like Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, so hopefully if they ARE, its only at the beginning, and unlockable for everything down the road of...of unlocking. <_<

I hope the "Champagne Driver Jacket" is available Online so I can become the ultimate getaway driver. If I drive for you, you get your money. You tell me where we start, where we're going, where we're going afterwards. I give you five minutes when we get there. Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours. No matter what. Anything a minute on either side of that and you're on your own. I don't sit in while you're running it down. I don't carry a gun. I drive.

Trucking competitions like in SA:MP would be cool.

Also, newer game modes, like the game DayZ. We could have it GTA V online where all players get a certain amount of time and money in Amunation (gun store) and then we all spawn distanced on the full GTA V map but we only have one life. We all have to kill each other using the weapons we picked and the last person to be alive wins. To stop people just camping for ages, we could have a feature where every 5 minutes all alive players are shown on the map as blips for 10 seconds only then they wont camp and be forced to keep on moving. And when someone kills someone, the killers position is showed on the map for 5 seconds only. That way, people can't camp.

Things like that^ would make GTA Online amazing and we could never get bored of it, like we did for GTA 4's online mode.

We all know that GTA fans since GTA IV wanted to experience the life of a police officer (the good guys) in addition to the life of a criminal who kills everyone who stands in his way. There have been numerous mods trying to achieve that (a great example is LCPD: First Response) which give players the oppurtunity to hunt down criminals and patrol the streets (but only in Singleplayer).

A revolutionary wanted level system inside a special multiplayer mode could give players what the always wanted: High speed chases, shootouts and brutal arrests. This is how the system could work:

We know that multiplayer will support 16 players, so we take those and split them into two teams (Police and Criminals). The ideal police:criminal ratio should be 2 players with police for every criminal player. Criminals can do a number of offences (killing stealing destroying, doing heists) in order to accumulate xp that increase their rank. Higher rankings for criminals means higher accuracy when firing weapons, a health bonus or extra xp. When a crime is witnessed they gain a wanted level (like in Singleplayer) depending on the severity of the crime. Players working with law enforcement will be dispatched to the nearest criminal marked on their radar. The Cops can call for AI police help depending on the wanted level the criminal they chase has. For instance, a two star wanted level could give Cops the ability to call for an extra police interceptor (controlled by AI), a helicopter at a four star wanted level etc. The Criminals on ther other hand could use certain special abilities to aid their escape i.e a jammer that blocks police radar. The Criminals gain extra xp for defeating cops, destroying property and escaping from the law.

Specials roles could be assigned to Cops such as Dispatcher. The Dispatcher could have a sattelite view of the map with all the locations of wanted criminals and allies. He or she could try to determine the criminals' route and deploy/spawn roadblocks (AI controlled) at key intersections to stop them in their tracks. It could also be possible to use his microphone to coordinate his allies. For that matter, players eager to play as cops could create clans where each one has a role and know each other, hence they are more effective. The same can be applied to criminals but instead of roles thay have as said before a ranking system i.e. the best player is the leader of the clan. Other roles include the Police Helicopter Pilot who brings marksmen (AI) next to criminals to bring them down or the SWAT Specialist who drives a truck full of AI SWAT members on scene

Arrests are the best way for cops to gain extra xp (more xp has similar benefits to those the criminals have) and is much more preferable than a takedown. Criminals have the option to surrender because even for them its better to surrender than dying trying to escape (penalties for dying) however having a clean escape still is better than both. The Federal Prison could be used to house criminals for a certain ammount of time while giving them options for recreational activities and ways to escape if they decide to. Escaping shouldn't be easy and escapees should't have any firearms. Escaping is better that staying in since it awards more xp. A prison stay should be about 10 minutes give or take for an hour of gameplay.

A multiplayer mode like this one is highly unlikely but it is not something impossible. It would be something never done before and emergency services enthusiasts would buy the game exclusively for this type of multiplayer. It took me an hour to write this and I'm not a game designer but I think those ideas can be used by actual programmers and designers to actually make this happen.
