So we know how focused GTA:V is on the prospect of money, well, will you spend it when you get it or save it up for something big?

Personally, I'm a saver so will save it up until I find a consistently successful money source.

What about YOU?

I am sure there are big ticket items that are necessary to save up for. I want the biggest and nicest house.. So I am sure I will need to save up for that.

Since V will make saving worthwhile (finally!) I'll definitely save alot for future purchases.

I usually save money until the point I got so much I don't know what to spend it on. I guess V will be different with all the customizations.

Oh, thankyou! Every little helps, I'm trying to develop it.

OT:
I hope they actually give us things to spend our hard-earned cash on! IV had nothing to spend our money on post-completion, they really need to fix that.

When i first got Vice City i wanted to buy a property near the beach so i spent my time killing people on the beach who just so happened to be relaxing at night...during a storm.

I will probably be a saver. We will probably be forced to buy a few things early on though. I will probably just buy a nice gun and then save up for property to buy on the stock market.

The game will supposedly have a thriving, realistic economy, so hopefully there will be some inflation, parodying the current situation of global economic affairs. Thus, if this is the case, hoarding cash will be detrimental.

But most likely the game won't feature inflation. Sadly.

it's nice to see a big $ total for your character, but honestly it's more fun to have to work up enough funds to buy something you want. previous GTA's there has always been some tipping point where you get so much wealth that money becomes meaningless, and i stop collecting weapons pickups and just spend thousands at guns n' ammo.

according to the news on V there will be a lot more to spend money on -- i think i'll tend to be a bit more free spending, if for nothing else so i have a reason to keep robbing TW@T etc, so i can make up enough dough to buy what i want. hopefully this will keep the game interesting outside of the missions, once i'm deep into the storyline and presumably have pockets lined with cash.

sitting on hundreds of thousands of dollars makes holding up a store for a measly $100 or $200 seem silly, you know? i't's just more engaging when affording toys & ammo is a challenge. we'll see once we are hands-on what the balance will be.
