Rather delay the game for a couple of weeks than to release it with bugs and have a day one update. I live in a country were 1GB costs US$27.40 (equivalent) and it's super slow, 256kb/s. As a result I won't even experience GTAONLINE, but please atleast make the game as spotless as possible on release day disc version.

Damn, that's insane. I however have a fiberoptic connection and my download and upload speeds are 200MBps. So I'm not worried or compaining but man that sucks.

Lol. If this was the forum that I used to go to for this sh*tty online game waaaay back, everyone would have posted massive file sized gifs all up and down this thread just to run your bill up.

I have to fight these urges everyday on these forums. It hurts, bro.

well you are lucky because r* delayed the game so they dont have to patch it even once. thats why you can put every R* game in your console and dont have to update it.

Since when has any Rockstar game required patches to work properly? Never, that's when. That's why they always delay their games, so they work flawlessly 99% of the time.

I'm playing Skyrim at the moment & it seems like the game freezes every 10th door I walk through. It's not my console, because the same thing happened during Fallout 3 & to a lesser extent NV. It's frustrating & immersion breaking & Bethesda needs to get their heads out of their arse & develop a stable game engine.

So because you dont want a patch, you want GTA V to be delayed wereas the majority here dont care about a patch or not as we dont live in some country where they charge f*ck loads for internet? How about no, if your internet is too dear move to another country.

Otherwise I'm gonna have to wait a year or so for the GOTY edition, which will have all the patches and dlc bundled plus it will be cheaper.

But if they delay the game then they delay the game for all of us, not just him.

Even if they had to make a patch (which is not happening as that's the reason why they delay their games) it wouldn't be 1GB or anything like that. It's a patch, not a fricking expansion pack.

The Patch for GTA IV multiplayer was like 500MB or less for xbox 360. And it was pointless because hacking is still possible confused.gif Only the "xbox crash" bug/hack has been removed/patched. biggrin.gif

A game this big is bound to have 1 or 2 minor bugs. But Rockstar have never been as bad as other game developers when it comes to bugs.

Rockstar doesn't really release a lot of patches for their games. At least not for GTA. I bought GTA IV again recently and if it installed a patch I didn't even notice it. If they were just gonna patch the game up they'd have released it by now. That was the whole point in the 4 month delay...to make it perfect as possible.

There will be a patch or patches though (not a lot!). Rockstar could spend the next 5 years testing the game and it'll still need a patch when it releases. It's only natural that when millions of people play the game that some bugs/glitches will be discovered.

Seriously though, you should try get better internet.
