Are you disappointed that Dan Houser confirmed that GTA V will not be getting any episodic content like GTA IV got? We won't be seeing any vehicle packs, weapon packs, more cities such as San Fierro and Las Venturas, and I think worst of all.. no zombies!

I always thought people were being sarcastic when they said they wanted zombie dlc.

Sad we won't get a Las Venturas add on, that would be prime location for heists (and also to act out some scenes from Casino)

I don't think all DLC is ruled out. R* will probably release multiplayer content and possibly one of those sh*tty season passes (like they did with Max Payne 3). However, that's the kind of DLC gamers really don't want to see.

Good.

Not really good, EFLC was a great thing. Almost no game company does DLC like that anymore. Naughty Dog is making a Story DLC wise and I was really hoping Rockstar would add a good story wise DLC or at least a expansion ( That's not taken out of the game like SR3 )

If Rockstar releases a Season Pass then I want to know whats the content they will release for it. If it's only MP then I'm not getting it. I WANT SINGLE PLAYER. SINGLE PLAYER LAST FOREVER.

Yes they did say no episodic DLC on the scale of TLAD and TBOGT, but there is every chance of vehicle and weapon packs.

City packs notify.gif wasn't ever going to happen anyway.

We already have DLC content in the form of weapons vehicles and clothing with the SE and CE editions.

I don't mind. I doubt any DLC would have included SF and LV, so I don't think we'll be missing anything good.

Old news. Also, the article did not say that we won't be getting any DLC at all.

Never heard of this site and they're recycling ancient news what Houser was talking about was DLC like the episodes, that's it. The episodes were so expensive that Rockstar lost money (well, money that was loaned to Take-Two by Microsoft) on them when they were released on the XB360 and they probably didn't make much if anything off them when they arrived on the PS3. He talked about smaller DLC but that didn't mean cars packs and little nickle and dime crap. He meant DLC that they wouldn't have to invest a lot of money into like they had for TLAD and TBoGT.

I still think DLC will be similar to the route taken with RDR and there'll be some free DLC, a few multi-player additions and at least one single player story DLC similar in size/length to Undead Nightmare which was cheaper and easier to produce than GTA IV's episodes and did extremely well. Hopefully it won't involve zombies...

Didn't Rockstar say that V WILL get DLC? Just not episodic content with new stories?

Odds are it'll mainly be multiplayer content and new weapons/vehicles for singleplayer.

Nah, that article was misreading the interview, what houser said was that you wot see any dlc as big as EFLC. obviously because the 20$ wasn't all that popular while the 10$ undead nightmare was a much bigger success.

Hopefully what this means is that we get more than one packs.

And for the people saying it takes time away from VI, you guys seriously think a company as large as R* has to worry about finding resources?

Since Rockstar always tells the truth sarcasm.gif , I am expecting future episodic DLC for GTAV. TBOGT greatly added to the replay value of GTAV and the Liberty City world. It would be a damn shame to miss the opportunity to build whole new stories in the beautiful world of GTAV.

I am sure that there were many great story ideas floated, as Rockstar converged on the final GTAV story that we will soon have in front of us. Actually, it's hard to believe that the present story (or three stories smile.gif ) won out over others that surely were considered early in the cycle.

Isn't GTA V gonna be the biggest game R* has ever made? I see no need for DLC at all. I hope they focus first on whatever glitches/issues there are at release., that's more important IMO. I myself am rather tired of DLC as it's all the same with most games these days.

I say good because most things that get passed as DLC these days are just designed to milk a game, CoD for example with it's infinite number of DLC's with more maps, weapons, zombies, gun camos, etc. Just getting old.

Big, good DLC, fine. But not small little packs that're just designed to milk a game for all they can.

I have never heard of this website so I'm going to take this info with a grain of salt. Also i wish to remain hopeful we do get DLC like EFLC because I love expansions for my favorite games.

Agreed. Besides, R*'s DLC has went down in quality with each current generation release. GTA IV, by far, has the best DLC ("DLC" is an understatement, they are full blown expansion packs). Red Dead Redemption has Undead Nightmare (which is great) along with a few other DLCs that are quite decent. However, selling multiplayer card and dice games as DLC was a dick move. Yeah, like gamers didn't want that in the initial release (sarcasm). Max Payne 3 is full of a bunch of map packs, and it uses one of those season passes that just milks everybody before they even know what the DLC will contain.

There will definitely be some kind of DLC, a game like this that will sell millions upon millions of copies getting no DLC? I find that extremely hard to believe, there has to be some story based DLC at some point... If there isn't, i'll be surprised.

Don't worry, OP, there will be plenty of vehicle/weapon/clothing DLC packs. They just won't be introduced in the form of Episodes... which is partly what made them interesting and worth it.

Agree with you as well. I have a bad feeling it will be full of outfits, guns, tattoo's etc that should've already been included in the game itself. The SE and CE prove that already, with in game content that should've already been included. If there is DLC, I hope it's not like IV's or RDR's undead nightmare, it should be something completely different. I also hope they don't do DLC as including online activities with your friends like tennis or whatever you want to do.
