Ok, with the only a matter of weeks away. (wow can't really believe it's that near) Lets come up with some good films to recommend to get us in the mood for GTAV.

I'll start with a few obvious one's:
Ronin
Heat

And an old but great film: Thunderbolt and lightfoot.
Its a really good Clint Eastwood film.

(hope this hasn't been done before)

Different timeline but same objective

Public Enemies from a few years ago is a great one to watch for this type of game.

Guy Ritchie movies like Snatch, Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels, and Rock N Rolla are all crime flicks with tons of heist driven plot lines.

Also some must see heist films...

Reservoir Dogs
The Usual Suspects
Inside Man (never realized how much this film sounds like gay porn until you type it out haha)
The Italian Job (The remake is good too!)
The Town
and... yes.. Heat.

These films will be sure to get you in the mood to PLAN and EXECUTE heists in a Hol.. erm.. Vinewood fashion.

Also.. Pulp Fiction. The interweaving of each criminal story set in LA, a great movie.. watch it!

Falling Down...

This film for sure!

An angry guy going around the city attacking anyone that pisses him off, collecting guns along the way and eventually firing a rocket launcher. It's practically GTA Free Roam: The Movie, with an interesting story.

Pretty much, only without the carjacking. I am really hoping there's at least one Falling Down homage in GTA V,

I watched Heat, Oceans 11,12 and 13 and The Town. I am ready.

I really do hope there will be a casino to rob after watching Oceans. They kinda did one in SA but it could be done better.

This may sound strange, but Beverly Hills Cop II.

I rewatched it yesterday for the first time in probably 15 years, and it's chock full of heists and chases in and around LA, including jewelry stores, banks, and a HORSE RACING TRACK. The first heist of the film is very similar to the "loud and dumb" jewelry store heist from the gameplay trailer.

I would recommend watching RAW DEAL Watching this the other month made me really hyped for GTA.V

Raw Deal is 1986 action film directed by John Irvin and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is the story of an elderly and embittered high-ranking FBI agent (Darren McGavin) who wants to get revenge against a Mafia organization, and sends a former FBI agent (now small-town sheriff) played by Schwarzenegger to destroy the organization from the inside.

Seriously it's worth a watch there's plenty of action - you Know any film with Arnold Schwarzenegger in it's going to be epic colgate.gif
