Kalibo here is the waypoint to the famous Boracay Island that many foreign tourists aspire to go with.

lol the amount of people posting crap about their town, but then not naming where they live. Doesn't it sort of defeat the point of posting the info in the first place.

Fine.  I'll amend my earlier post.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The birthplace of democracy, The US constitution, Bill of Rights, The Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross and a sh*t ton of other historical things.

Cheesesteaks...and yes we do live on them.  They aren't just a novelty food or anything.  Had them twice this past week for lunch and it looks like I'll be having one for dinner tonight.

I've also been told we are the only city that eats pretzels with mustard for breakfast.

*Note: This image is slightly wrong.  Very few people use yellow mustard.  Spicy brown is the norm.

Ahh, pretzels with mustard. Do you guys always eat those Philly factory ones?

Also, I live in Atlantic City. We're famous for corruption, crumbling casinos, and violence. It's a pretty fun place in the summer time though, the boardwalk and mall is always packed around that time. But outside of all that? It's a whole new world.

Great food - Sahlem's Hot Dogs, Beef on Weck, Buffalo Wings (seriously how the f*ck do you people live without wings?), etc. We also have high crime rates, a pretty f*cked up inner city, f*cked up public schools (in the city at least, the burbs are actually pretty decent) and 100+ years ago a president was assassinated here during the Pan-Am expo. The burbs nearby are also the birthplace of president Elbert Hubbard. We're also home to Roswell Park, a major cancer research center. I think that's about it.

Any other Buffalonians here?

E: we also have a pro hockey team (Sabres, home of Ryan Miller), pro football team (Bills, old home of OJ Simpson and Jim Kelly), and pro lacrosse team (Bandits). We used to have a pro basketball team too (Braves, now the LA Clippers). The Bandits are the only ones to ever win a championship, sadly. http://en.wikipedia....lo_Sports_Curse

E2: Trip, what brand spicy mustard do y'all eat? Weber's?

My home city, the Gold Coast, QLD is known as being the Holiday Capital of Australia. 6 Theme Parks within 10km's of each other and great beaches all year round. We also have the tallest residential building in the Southern Hemisphere, so there's that.

Hometown, LA, is famous for everything.

Current home is famous for Tri-Tip bbq,and the 2005 Michael Jackson trial. f*ckin hated that trial, streets got crowded quickly by out of town people wanting to catch a glimpse.

At one point my home town may have had the largest high school in the Southern Hemisphere, although I am HIGHLY doubtful of it. My mother taught there during it's supposed prime.

AFL player Taylor Walker grew up one block away from where I live.

My home town was also in that movie about trannies that I can't remember the name of.

Setauket Spy Ring, George Washington's spies were run through my hometown, pretty cool. There is a show on AMC about it now, though it isn't filmed in Setauket.

I'm afraid I can't exactly disclose that. East of you and between the forks.

Melbourne, Australia.

We have good restaurants, an alleyway dedicated to graffiti (Hosier Lane), trams, Australian Rules, MCG, Australian Open, Crown Casino, Flinders Street Station, rat hole suburbs you wouldn't want to return to, Bourke Stret Mall, Queen Victoria Market, nightlife & nightclubs and art.

Oh, and 4 seasons in one day.

The best things I can think of is it was a stop for the 2000 Sydney Olympics torch relay and parts of it were filmed for Tomorrow When The War Began.

I live a small town, so I'll do my county:

This song pretty much sums it up.

We've got scrumpy, sheep, farmers, Stonehenge, hippies, raves, weed farms, festivals, MOD installations and more scrumpy.

'Oo 'ar my lavvers, respect to all my Wiltshire Moonrakers. Big up to the Wild, Wild West Country.

Georgia is one of the original 13 colonies, and one of the major battles occurred in Savannah(my home town) where a fort was under siege and partially destroyed.

My town is famous for granite, football based violence, alcoholism, class A drugs, some more granite, oil and gas exploration (supposedly the oil and gas capital of Europe - you wouldn't think it to live here, it's a dump), a long since passed fishing industry, traffic jams, terrible inner city planning, having a huge number of eastern European immigrants and yet more effin' granite.
