I try adding the King Kong mod from this site: http://www.gtaforums...howtopic=305293 due to the download link being down, where it says DOWNLOAD on that page, it gave me this link http://zazmahall.de/...nSanAndreas.htm
I tried as many things as I could and I've gained no progress at all. Hoping someone can help me.

What did you tried and what's the problem?
what's your windows version?
did you ever installed a mod successfully on your gtasa ?
which tool did you use to install andre.dff and andre.txd?
did you replace main.scm and script.img and did you then START NEW GAME?

The problem is that it won't let me even start the game. I have windows 7. And yes, I've had many mods installed but I had to reinstall my game due to it crashing all the time. I used img tool to replace the txd and dff files. And yes I did replace the main.scm and script.img. And I can't answer the last one because it won't let me start the game at all.

maybe it won't start because the right *.gxt file is missing
which language could you choose normally?
which files are actually available in folder Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\text ?

check if andre.dff and andre.txd isn't available twice in your gta3.img
use search function of img tool and search for andre.

you could install the originally files, get them >here<

if nothing help then you should install the game again

win7 have a virtual restore to avoid modification of programms in directory C:\program files
i think you should deinstall the game and install it then in another directory like C:\GTA
it needs to choose custom installation in the installation menue
then test if your game works

then make a backup copy of the whole Grand Theft Auto San Andreas directory

then i think you need the downgradepatch to make the gta3.img moddable, assuming that you have GTASA V.2
then test if your game still works

then install andre.dff and andre.txd in this way:
open gta3.img with img tool and search for andre.dff and andre.txd, then delete andre.dff and andre.txd
then import andre.dff and andre.txd from the KingKong mod
then run the function "Rebuild Archiv" and wait till it is finish
then test if your game still works

then change main.scm and script.img
