Even though MTA SA runs perfectly, GTA crashes while loading a saved game, or even starting a new one. I recently changed the Hotring Racers, but since I can load them in MTA, I don't think this is causing the problem.

Is your game pirated or bought?

It is rented, but I used a crack. It used to play fine, but recently, it stopped playing. I have it for a long time, so it can't be the crack.

Assuming I understand you correctly, refer to this: http://www.copyright...aq-digital.html

"Can I backup my computer software?"

QUOTE (United States Copyright Office)

Yes, under certain conditions as provided by section 117 of the Copyright Act. Although the precise term used under section 117 is “archival” copy, not “backup” copy, these terms today are used interchangeably. This privilege extends only to computer programs and not to other types of works.

Under section 117, you or someone you authorize may make a copy of an original computer program if:

-the new copy is being made for archival (i.e., backup) purposes only;
-you are the legal owner of the copy; and
- any copy made for archival purposes is either destroyed, or transferred with the original copy, once the original copy is sold, given away, or otherwise transferred.

Most importantly:

QUOTE (United States Copyright Office)

Anyone found to have infringed a copyrighted work may be liable for statutory damages up to $30,000 for each work infringed and, if willful infringement is proven by the copyright owner, that amount may be increased up to $150,000 for each work infringed. In addition, an infringer of a work may also be liable for the attorney's fees incurred by the copyright owner to enforce his or her rights.

Hint: You admitted to using a ____ (Fill in the blank)

The laws I quoted and your admission; connect the dots, figuratively speaking.

Look, I have no idea what you're talking about, but all I just want is for GTA SA to work again without having to use MTA all time. Also, I use a Nocd patch or whatever it is.

Can you get rid of the no-cd crack and try to run the game with the DVD in the drive?

I'm not sure about the forum rules, but if you're violating copyright laws, no one is allowed to help you.

Come to think of it, I should be a copyright lawyer.

Is there a way to put a big sign image on top of the forum saying we don't help cracked/pirated versions so don't ask for help.
Really I know GTA is all about breaking the law but it "really grinds my gears" people always asking for help because they have downloaded or copied the game from a friend.

It's just a no cd patch! It's not even pirated! Come on!

Cracked, Pirated, Torrented, Ripped, Warez; it's still Copyright infringement.

It's none of them!!!!!!!!! I just rented the game from a store, made it so I can play it without needing a cd, returned it, modded the game, played for a long time, the I modded the Hotring Race cars, it worked on MTA, but it didn't work on GTA itself.
THE END
Did I say it is cracked, pirated, Torrented, Ripped, Warez? Nope.

You have Pirated the game. It is designed to run from the DVD in the Drive.
You don't own the license to run the game.
Buy your own game, get rid of the Crack, and you might not have the problem.
