I've been playing GTA EFLC, and I try to download my profile, and it says "Windows Live is unavailable", and I haven't been able to save anything, and I would really like to save my game. Also, I can't connect to multiplayer. I've reinstalled Games for Windows Live, tweaked my router, closed down my firewall, and it still won't work.
I was wondering, is there a way to manualy download my profile?
I'm have Windows 8, I am using the steam.

  1. Are you using any mods, cracks or trainers?
  2. Have you tried re-installing the game?
  3. Have you manually removed games's installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86) OR C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\) before installing the game again?
  4. Have you re-installed Games for Windows Marketplace Client - Download?

YES, Revoke license, un-install, delete rest of install directory that did not get deleted by the traditional un-install, then re-install and play the game WITHOUT MODS and if the problem is solved, then it was the mods causing the problems all along.

Alternatively, IF you do not want to go through the trouble above, just use the Xliveless tool, as it bypasses Live and allows you to save the game. Note that doing this will move the saves to the User Files Folder in Documents.
