I've pre-ordered a PS3 and I'm curious at what resolution games will play on our composite TV.

Don't suggest me to buy an HDTV, instead 'cause I'm not planning on buying one ATM.

480i for NTSC (this should be yours) and 576i for PAL.

Edit: Sorry, made a mistake. I believe that the NTSC Resolution will apply to your TV

I know you said don't say get a HDTV, but i feel i have too. Its one of the best things you could get to increase the enjoyment of your gaming. Going from standard to High Definition is a must. Sooner you do upgrade your TV, the better. icon14.gif

In GOD's will; I pray, that I get an HDTV soon, when I get a scholarship. smile.gif

Just stop buying food for a month or two, HDTV's are pretty cheap nowadays wink.gif

I'm imagining your shock when you play your first game on an HDTV and it happens to be a next-gen game. You'll probably be wiping your screen for 10 minutes before you can play again. tounge.gif

I won't be buying a next-gen console anytime soon, as well. After buying a PS3, a small, $200 TV is my priority, NEXT YEAR. tounge.gif

Ill probably get a monitor for next gen though. Got an 1080p tv but I think on a monitor it still would look better due the pixel density. Plus Ill get a new PC anyways after PS4. ( got laptop atm)

Visuals aren't the only thing to consider when going with a monitor over an HDTV. I personally have my Xbox 360 hooked up to my monitor rather than my HDTV and I notice less input lag on the monitor, which is a huge factor in a lot of games.

Yeah, that's why Now I only play multiplayer on my CRT TV, I believe it has the least lag of the lot, obviously graphics being a trade-off, but I do play much better online with it.
