Not because of that Ferocious, I like Dravid better than Sachin all IMO of course. But I won't deny the fact that he is one of the greatest cricketers of all time.

Anyways:

So you dislike Sachin because you like Dravid?

By the "playing of records" logic people use, I can just easily say that "Dravid played for records. Look at his piss-poor strikerate"; but I won't. I won't because I know for a fact that these two are absolute legends.

By the "playing for records" logic, I can easily say that "Lara robbed WI off a potential win with a 'selfish' 400". I won't.

Well that's good mate, because from what I see in CNN, India is always greatly plagued by monsoon floodings.

There is little to no logic behind the 'playing for the records' logic. Every single cricketer plays for record if you want to use that logic.

Well Cricket is kind of a big deal over there, so yeah, it makes sense to discuss it in The Indian topic.
Just note You can make anything sound fairly condescending.

So...10 posts in and people are fighting over politics?

Meh, I can't see the "difference" between a Pakistani and an Indian. We were all "Indians" a few decades back.

Yes that's true and include the present-day Bangladesh in Indian subcontinent before Pakistan's independence.

I consider Bangladesh and Pakistan to be a part of India too so yeah.

We got divided due to some silly religion issue, turned into a bloodshed and the 1947 partition.

That was discussed in our high school curriculum so I have some knowledge on India and it's history. smile.gif

I actually think while England's rule cost us many lives it actually developed us into a modern country. If we weren't ruled by England at all, I might not be here now and India would be way behind in developments in Science etc, for example England introduced the Railway system.

Both Respect and a bit of Disrespect to England.

Our case is different though. We were still invaded by some Afghan rulers who plundered our wealth.

Also, anyone buying the new AC: Indian comic book? It'd be cool if it was a game. Yes I saw your topic Ferocious.

You really should get your facts right. For the sake of brevity (and not to go completely go off-topic) I won't go into detail, but you simply can't just consider Bangladesh and Pakistan part of India, they're completely separate states. And by no means was the Indo-Pakistani War a 'silly religious issue'. Brushing up on your country's history is recommended.

If Pakistan is considered as a part of India then television has taught me this about the region.

I believe television broadens the mind.

By that I mean't that I consider them as a part of the Indian sub-continent, my bad. So I mean't that all Bangladeshi's and Pakistani's are welcome to discuss here too.

Most Indian people I know are intellectual. AceKingston is just being stupid.

Also, Bangladesh and Pakistan a part of India? Never in a million years. Especially Bangladesh and Pakistan being coupled together. I'm Bengali myself and trust me when I say this, some of us still have sort of a contempt for Pakistani people as a whole, whereas the rest stay neutral. I've never really brushed up on the whole historical basis as to why this is exactly occurring but I'm going to blame the 1971 Genocide of Bengali's.

But yeah, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India a part of together? Yeah, shut up. Even if you're speaking in cultural terms then the least you could say is that we're all sort of in the same circle since we have extremely similar cultures but despite that you can't say we're all part of India.

You need to brush up on facts before flinging your sh*t around claiming that 2 completely separate states that do in fact have distaste for each other are a part of India, you dolt.

Raping foreigners. Seriously, vaginae of foreigners ain't no Pandora box to make your dick hit the ceiling.

And hey, foreigners don't wash their vag after taking a pee either. Knock it off.

/rant

Before people start saying "foreigners get raped everywhere," you're goddamn right. Don't worry, I'll make the same rant when there's gonna be a topic for other countries.

Sure rape and gang rape happen everywhere, but it really is a big (dick) issue in India, and a costly one as it has put a strain on its tourism (female tourists wary of visiting india and getting on busses). All the media coverage of the raping lately really takes a sh*t on the peaceful idea of holy cows, child-labor and sweatshops.
