You know one thing that has always bothered me about people from India? They eat all these exotic spices and such, and then do not wear antiperspirant deodorant. A bunch of inconsiderate buffoons I dare say!

Just kidding about that last part.

A lot of people think we are poor and stuff but we aren't poor at all actually.

Atleast better than Detroit. ph34r.gif

Anybody heard about the mid-day meal poisoning? That sh*t is f*cked up and bringing politics over that, god.

E: @Finn: I love spices myself. All Indian's are like that. I eat one spice every day I guess.

It's true actually. We used to be rich and all but then the British and some other rulers invaded us and we lost most of our gold, if we still had it we'd probably be one of the richest countries in the world.

I am a little confused as to how your end quote is relevant at all to your first post in the train, and Harley's image, you are going on about gold and riches, when the original point was to do with diamonds.
I am 100% sure that there was diamonds being mined in other countries pre-1986.
If you believe otherwise...

QUOTE (AceKingston @ Saturday, Jul 20 2013, 10:59)
== Five Quick Facts about India ==

I hate to piss on your chips but a number of these are completely wrong:

QUOTE (AceKingston @ Saturday, Jul 20 2013, 10:59)
- India is the 6th largest country in the world, the largest democracy and one of the oldest civilization.

India is actually the seventh largest country by area, and is the fourth largest democracy after the United States, Canada and Australia.

QUOTE (AceKingston @ Saturday, Jul 20 2013, 10:59)
- Before 1986, India was the only place in the world where Diamonds could be found.

Completely untrue. There are numerous actual mines still in operation in South Africa, Angola, Botswana and Lesotho which were founded in the early 20th century. In fact commerical diamond mining has taken place in Brazil since 1725 and South Africa (Kimberley) since 1867. The largest diamond producer in the world, the Argyle diamond mine in Western Australia, was founded in 1985.

QUOTE (AceKingston @ Saturday, Jul 20 2013, 10:59)
- The biggest and the largest employer in the world is Indian railways employing over a million people.

The largest employer in the world as of 2012 according to the BBC is the US Department of Defence, with a total of 3.2 million employees. Followed by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, China Railway Engineering Corporation, Walmart, McDonald's, The National Health Service, China National Petroleum Corporation and State Grid Corporation of China. Then it is Indian Railways.

Seriously, you should check your facts before you post them.

In which case India is the second largest. He's clearly referring to geographical size.

He may be wrong, but diamonds were first mined (or at least valued) in india.

QUOTE
The first recorded history of the diamond dates back some 3,000 years to India, where it is likely that diamonds were first valued for their ability to refract light. In those days, the diamond was used in two ways-for decorative purposes, and as a talisman to ward off evil or provide protection in battle.

Part Suppliers?

I use Flipkart, it's damn cheap too, got a keyboard for about 200 RS and a laptop cooler for about 800. Great condition.

Waiting for the holiday season to start, I really need a break from school, next month lads.

Also has anyone spotted a GTA V poster in the game stores? I saw one a few months back.

Yeah, whether or not he played for milestones is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that he is a f*cking great cricket player, one of the best the world has ever seen.

I actually don't see what's wrong with playing for milestones, either way he is scoring runs, this way he has a specific goal to aim towards.

So you don't like him because Girish doesn't like him?

Every single 34000 odd runs Sachin has scored belong to India.

A few facts:

He's the most successful batsman in ODI finals.

He has more hundreds (34) in winning ODI's than the total number of hundreds scored by the Australian great, a Ricky Ponting.

He's the most successful batsman in winning chases.

He has some twenty odd winning tons in Tests despite India's generally piss poor bowling.

Oh I've completely mistook about that, but the thing is India (and Nepal) is the largest religion in the world in terms of followers just belonging to only one particular country. Christian/Catholics and Islam are basically scattered around the world.
