Just wondering if anyone else is "training" for v... I've been playing tbogt online abit and will most likely hop back on max Payne 3 online in the near future just to get back in the zone for online... But primarily I've been playing tbogt and pumping the raise wanted level upto 6 stars then trying to escape using my futo gt.

Anyone else been doing anything similar? Or got any good ideas on how to prep for V?

I have been playing GTA SA and TBGOT just to freshen up on certain things, though you may think SA is a little old school, it's one of the first GTA games I actually enjoyed playing because it didn't seem so stiff and all city.

The Exact same. San Andreas & IV.
GTA SA was better than IV.
IV seemed stiff and really static. SA was free and the moving was in NO way static or stiff.

Play Max Payne 3 to get used to the shooting mechanics. They look pretty similar. Free aim if your a man.

I'm replaying IV. Just taking my time enjoying it.

If I finish it before V comes out I'll replay RDR.

Same here, nearly finished all the missions and already done all the random encounters. When I've finished I might play through it again or change back to San Andreas.

I've been running over hookers with my car, but it's just not the same to do it in real life.

Yeah, tell me about it. I think it's the sounds, they just don't make that squashing sound like in GTA and I think Euphoria makes bodies move in a much more natural way than real life. They feel too rigid in real life.

Exactly IV was just so stiff, I enjoy the game it self, the characters are funny, but SA just had way more play-ability and things to do and see.

Exploration and big world is key in a sandbox game, I don't know how Rockstar did that tiny map for GTA IV...

I think i'm gonna give SA another go and just mess around with it until september a bit. Am playing LA Noire at the moment as Cole "dumb ass" Phelps and it's great. Being stupid and oblivious fits his character way better..

I'm gonna avoid GTA and other similar games until the release for a fresh experience. Until then, League of Legends, movies and TV shows will keep me occupied.

I've been murdering a person a day, sometimes with firearms, sometimes with vehicular murder. I've been planning a jewelry heist & in preparation of playing with Trevor, I haven't wiped for a week.

The voice acting & storyline are amazing & the gameplay mechanics & bullet physics trump any other third person shooter. It is very linear, so don't expect huge replay value. I never had the opportunity to play online multiplayer, but I still loved it. The level design, destructible environments are so much fun to play in & destroy.

If you can get it cheap (I saw it new for 7 in a shop the other day) then definitely buy it. If you use free aim, you'll have a head start when it comes to GTA V.

If you do get it, please note that cutscenes are unskippable until the level has loaded, once it has you can skip past the cutscene. It was a way to keep you immersed & not just show you a loading screen.

Already done. 3 times actually, absolutely loved it!

A few weeks before V releases, I will replay IV and Episodes, it'll be the last time for a long time.

My pleasure. It's always easy for me to recommend a R* developed game. The game actually took as long to make as GTA V (though with a much smaller team). It would've been nice if R* had allowed you to use the online maps offline & just allowed you play against AI bots, especially as there are some things that are only available in MP, like be able to use grenades & many other things.

Anyway, when you're diving through a plate glass window firing double Uzi's in slo-mo, you'll have a big smile on your face. You can also pause the game mid action & pan around while everything is frozen in time. You can even see the bullets in mid-air, because every bullet is modelled as a real world object.

I might hone my free aim skills in MP3, but that's about it.
