If you take your time with it and explore the features in between each mission then you'll complete it before you realise. Just enjoy the game, trust me, the worst thing you can do with a game like this is try and sweat the missions, it'll just become boring and repetitive.

Really you still haven't even finished the game once? I've finished it over 30 times now.

I'm about 2 missions after 3 Leaf Clover. At first I just wanted to rush through it but I'm taking my time now, enjoying all my surroundings in the game. If you take your time to explore you will see amazing things in Liberty City.

If you think IV is long, try GTA SA with 105 missions.

Three leaf clover, I think people overestimate it that it's hard. I completed that in my first try.

Yes, but SA's missions were much more "varied" than IV's. And a lot were more interesting too. Anyway, i've finished IV at least 5-10 times, TBoGT around 3 times, and TLaD twice.

I am currently on my 34th playthrough of GTA IV. I've also finished TBoGT 8 times and TLAD 4 times, but I've never gotten 100%.

I never thought I'd see the day where someone whined that a game isn't short enough, but I always get special treats. IV isn't even that long, I can beat it in a week if I'm doing side missions and hanging out with friends/girlfriends as well, and I can complete it in one day if I just do the story.

I've played the all three over at least 10 times, but probably a lot more. Grand Theft Auto is, and always has been, a single-player focused game. Unlike multiplayer focused games such as Call of Duty, single-player games tend to have long, deep stories, with lots of characters and themes. In a non-linear game like GTA, that translates as lots of missions.

San Andreas was longer. They had similar number of missions, but when you include travelling San Andreas was longer.

I honestly hope the story in GTA 5 is longer than GTA 4s.

It isn't. It's going to be around the same length of RDR (50-70 missions I think).
