I randomly stopped playing the GTA IV campaign for about a year. I was into it, then I got into the Mass Effect games. I beat those a long time ago, then I just never picked it back up. The last time I completed a GTA IV was 3 months ago, but before that it was almost 2 years. I remember most of the storyline, but I'm just wondering if I should restart everything or just keep going?

It's up to you, but I'd personally start everything again. Just for the experience.

I rarely if ever pick up old saves and continue. It's like watching a movie, stopping it and watching from where you stopped 2 months later. It breaks the flow IMO.

I would create a new save file and start new. I say this because it's been a while since you said you last played. If you do this you can start new and explore, find things out you didn't know the first time.
