Could this game finally end Call of Duty's streak of dominance?

I think it can, just look at the Official Gameplay Video, it has over 16,000,000 views after just a week, while the Call of Duty: Ghosts reveal trailer hasn't even reached that amount after two months. Grand Theft Auto is pretty much the only game on the market that can give Call of Duty a run for its money in sales.

Do you think it will dethrone Call of Duty?

GTA will sell a lot but COD is a FPS that comes out every year and sells every year so I doubt that will change.

I think the dethroning of CoD was inevitable, with any major game releasing, not just GTA V. People are beginning to see how repetitive it is.

GTA IV sold about 25 million, each year COD sells 12-19 million.

Uhh, what?

Not only did BO2 sell $500m in the first 24 hours (the biggest entertainment launch in history), it broke CoD MW3's $1B record in 15 days.

It has gone on to sell almost 25m copies in 9 months. It took GTA IV almost four years to hit that number. The CoD series is a juggernaut, and it isn't slowing down.

GTA 5 will win 2013. CoD will have no competition until the next GTA!

I think GTA V will definitely sell more.

Byt i'm not one to hate on CoD, it's enjoyable to an extent and i'll probably check out Ghosts.

The only "streak" Call of Duty has is the one in it's underwear. >.>

I thoroughly enjoyed Call of Duty as a series until World at War. Then it just became a crankfest, year after year the exact same game with new tweaks, weaker storylines, and things that should have been in multi-player the previous year, or as fixes, not DLC.

Speaking of the DLC though they nickel and dime you with that too. All in all I'm not a fan, shame too because as far as console FPS go, it was pretty epic until it became more of the same.

People are getting tired of cod. I know tons of people that hated black ops 2 and mw3 and aren't going to buy cod again.

Probably. You see, now it's cool to hate cowadooty. Even the kiddies are moving on to Battlefield or something.

Also, GTA V is winning the in the most pre ordered games chart for both 360 and PS3 versions, and of course, most pre orders= potentially most sales.

How do you know that?

Have you played Gta V online? Doubt it. Have you played Ghosts online? No.

Your answer is ridiculous.

A GTA game is like an event, a COD game is the companies way to check if you're still paying while bringing some old smelly candy over.
YES, also you need a poll
