Using the monster truck in the woods/badlands is so much fun in GTA SA. I hope it's just as enjoyable in GTAV!

I absolutely loved taking a fast car and heading down to Hove Beach and drifting on the dunes.

@DarrinPA - We need a monster truck in GTA V for that reason, it would be so cool offroad! biggrin.gif

Seriously, Rockstar needs to do a checklist of all the things they had in GTA SA. If anything is missing you know there are going to be a bunch of people complaining. If there is no Monster truck, I will be one of those people. biggrin.gif

The new mountains look massive, we need something strong enough to get up them.

I liked off-roading on the north end of Alderney near the abandoned casino and north end of Bohan.

I really am looking forward to the new physics of the vehicles. I'm wondering though, who else likes to go off roading in GTA? I remember the days of San Andreas when I'd go put hydraulics on a rancher and lift it up and go screw around on chilliad. I hope there will be an option to put a lift or better suspension or meatier tires on trucks.
I think that'll be the first thing I do when I play. Just go explore the trails.
Who else likes to do this? Anyone hoping for some off road worthy modification options?

Appropriate nickname. Every single person on earth likes rallying.

No way are you the only one. When I first started playing RDR, I was imagining what it would be like taking a Sanchez, dune buggy or mountain bike (with IV's physics) across that terrain. The beach in IV was pretty fun, but nothing compared to the fun I'm going to have in V's rural playground.

I haven't played any Midnight Club game, as dedicated racers aren't really my thing. Just by looking at some videos of MC:LA, I can tell I want the handling to stay much closer to IV's. Anyway, was there any off road sections in that map of LA.

GTA IV had very little off-road space, so I was kind of limited to what I could do. Other open world games I had bought since 2008 made up for that, namely RDR, Skyrim and Far Cry 3, which meant my gaming wasn't restricted to free roaming on only the roads. GTA V will have all the countryside, desert and general wilderness that I need and then some.

I never off roaded in SA but I would love to in V

I have never seen a game that off roads properly. They all want to race off road rather than alow you to negotiate difficult terrain slowly.

A patriot and some rocks will be fun. I used to do it on the rocks in IV next to Fire Fly Island.
