Just watched a documentary about them. These guys had major cojones to cross through an unkown wilderness with little for protection.

Imagine doing this in V. I'm thinking of starting on an unpoulated coast and travelling on foot with a knife a pistol and no map intent on crossing the continent. I'd want to try to avoid civilization at all costs.

Can I get your thoughts on this concept?

I know what you mean. tounge2.gif

I'll stay away from roads to minimize that.

Given that you'll be crossing roads, seeing planes and vehicles, etc., it seems like it will be tough to pretend there is nobody out there. Perhaps you should pretend you're part of the U.S. Geological Service and that you have to place U.S. Geological Bench Markers at the top of each peak. They're circular metal plates with an arrow pointing north, the name of the peak, and the elevation.

get rid off the pistol.

Fight animals with just a knife and then you got an adventure

Judging by the sheer scope of the game, it looks like it would be incredibly tedious to walk from one end of the map to the other. Even a bike ride from Los Santos to Sandy Shores seems like a hell of a commute.

Good luck!

I never tried walking Niko from Francis airport all the way across to the sea on the west. I bet it would take an hour at best.

I would definitely try doing something like this, but I know I would fail miserably after seeing a vehicle, which includes planes flying overhead. lol.gif

Nah takes like 20 minutes maybe 30. I ran from the airport back to alderney to see if my car would still be where I left it and sure enough the f*cker was there. My friend said your car doesn't disapear as long as you don't take a taxing or enter another car so I had to try it.
Still felt like one hell of a long run.

Meh would get tedious after a while. More fun to take an ATV or dirt bike through the forest/mountains.

I probably won't walk across the map, but I'll take a bike or a four wheeler.

I plan on doing something like this, only completely unarmed. If there's no option to turn off the minimap, i'll cover it on my tv and just use the map that comes with the game.

this actually sounds like it would be a lot of fun with friends in free roam, or you could even have some sort of cannon ball run on foot where the first survivor that makes it across wins (with no vehicles, weapons, mini map, or any help).
