I was listening to REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling" right before my puppy died from a black widow spider bite. Now, it hurts very much listening to it.

I would much rather use a sweet sweet live version, but sometimes they don't translate well for general consumption.

Ever been in love? Ever miss that person?

Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits.
I remember first time i heard it, must have been about 10-11 years old i guess..
I was lying in my room which i shared with my sister and listened to my mp3 player, when this song came on.
It was just so... beautiful, so tears streamed down my cheeks and i felt very sad.

And then Snuff - Slipknot too.. Actually alot of songs has made me cry wink.gif

Live versions of In The Air Tonight get me often. Never on the studio version though. Strange.

Winnie the Pooh theme songs do too.

Some songs do that just because I find them to be so beautiful.

My Dying Bride "Black God"

King Missile "Fourthly"

would be a couple that I can recall instantly.

The official funeral song of the Netherlands, I think most Dutch people will cry when listening to this song.

And not sure if I posted this before, but when his voice cracks near the end I always feel like crying:

I know some of you guys are gonna flame me for this...but I almost cried over an anime song. Even though I don't understand Japanese, but while I listen to it and reading the lyrics at the same time, it hit me in the feels.

The title of the song I'm pertaining to is Tenshi ni Fureta-yo!, from the anime K-On!.

Yeah, one song. I'm more of a sucker for the emotional action movie scenes for ex. Armageddon.

The first time I heard it it didn't really do anything to me... But then I saw a Johnny Cash documentary, and it came near the end. First time I cried because of a song. I can understand now why it is considered one of the greatest clips of all time...

Another song of his that really moved me was "Man in black", this performance in particular:

When I heard "Days of Our Lives" by Queen I thought nothing of it, I was too ignorant to realise how important of a song it was. I had no clue when it was released or what the music video was like, to me it was just "a queen song" but then I got way more into Queen and the awesome videos so I decided to actually watch them. I like to do research on things too so I was just reading up about days of our lives on wikipedia when I found out that this video, this unimportant regular song of the 160+ songs by queen, well I found out that this was the LAST SONG Freddie Mercury EVER did before he died from bronchopneumonia (induced by AIDs) I watched the video again and noticed how ill he looked, how thin his voice was, how he hardly moved around and it upset me quite alot. Just the fact that this really eccentric guy who would jump around the stage and run around the set of music videos, was reduced to standing in one spot only having the energy to move his arms, but he still took on the song and sang it.

What did it for me was the ending lyrics of the song, which was almost like a personal goodbye to Queen fans, then the song just ends, and it hits you that that's the last song Freddie Mercury would ever sing in.

Tons of times, lyrics can play a part, or not. Usually it's just the music though.

Most recently:

Both before and especially after I watched this ( the story starting at 1:13 ):
