All that is known is that it will take less development time for all games for the PS4. Why? It's using x86 architecture, so it will easily be developed. Remember how quick it took games to come out on the PS1, that time has come again, even Sony said this.

The Xbox One is using the same architecture , does that mean it's also ok to develop a game on it in no time ?

I don't give a f*ck about the Xbone, that is a piece of sh*t console. 50% less powerful than the PS4, and apparently is changing BACK into the DRM roots along with the used games policy, internet connection once a day and whatnot. PS4 is way better and games WILL be developed more quicker, nothing bad about that. VI will be made in 2-3 years easily.

Your actually saying that it's 50% isn't powerful than the PS4 ? please give me a prove , what I saw is that Forza 5 (Pre-Alpha) looked better than Drive Club (Pre-Alpha)

Do I think there will be a GTA VI? Yes.

Do I think it will be in Vice City? Yes.

Do I think it will be at least 4 years until then? Yes.

Do I know how Rockstar could possibly outdo themselves after V? No.

Would I be shocked if V was the last full GTA? No.

Would I be disappointed if V was the last full GTA? A little, but I think that V may be the highest peak we will get. Honestly, I don't think the leap in gameplay and presentation required to make a sequel to a game of this caliber worthwhile is possible in the near future (if you can understand).

it would make sense if they do vice city or the whole south east coast with additional Caribbean islands..

That would be so awesome.. Imagine smuggling back and forth from Cuba.

There are lots of possibilities for where Rockstar could go with the next one. You could set the game in any major city, and as long a they nail the gameplay side, they will have a winner. There are plenty of great environments in the USA alone that would make awesome settings. Then loads more outside too

Or they could just make up a state and still make it amazing. Then you have different time periods they could play around with. There are so many options for them, the question is not where can they go next, but which of all the great options to choose.

I hope they don't go back to LC again though. That's done and dusted in my opinion.

i think red dead was a one time deal, why would they possibly do another one??

Red Dead Redemption is the second one in the franchise already. Red Dead Revolver is a bit more obscure and it's not an open world game, nor is it part of the same 'continuity' (So Redemption has been described as a "spiritual successor"), but it's a franchise already. An RDR3 would probably be similar, in that it won't be a direct sequel, but another amazing open world Western game.

but they can continue with different themed games.now is Heists mainly and probably gangs, a bit drugs. Las Vegas could be casinos and a bit of other mafia things and the one after that could be Venturas and maybe be focused in on mafias with casinos being just a small thing you manage and the main focus being something else.

Possible? When people see the graphics and how high R* levels everything up, they will faint, however, that is 6-7 years away. R* always progresses and they will blow minds with 6. Damn why don't somebody invent a time machine? I do hope that they do several states, or even make it possible to fly to a big, detailed London.

why the f*ck would it only be on next-gen consoles, if that happens and they dont put it on regular 360 ill just shoot myself... i would really like something in Detroit or Chicago or Carcer City, or if they did it in Vice they should add surroundings from florida like the everglades or the florida keys, because that could be a whole lot of fun... if they wanted to do something really cool, they'd do chicago... increasing crime rates... it would make for a good game...

guys ive been to miami a few times, it's not all palm trees, sure thats a part of it... but miami has a pretty large ghetto (mainly inland) and its highways and sh*t... its nowhere near LA trust me... i live in the Valley in la county and it is much different than miami... and i used to live in Florida...

GTA probably has the most room to grow.

Imagine GTA world.

Imagine hundreds of stadiums. World series, world cups, ticket purchasing. Imagine driving from your house to the event, arriving and having stadium employees pointing you where to park your car, food and drink stands. You could be a spectator, an employee, a guard, or a paid pro athlete. You may decide to just stay home and watch the championships with your friends, etc, etc...

That's just sports mind you.

Allow shooting yourself, jus geta ps4, its highly likely the nex gta would b nex gen only, the time it comes out itd have a big enough customer base, also rockstar would want to utilise the power and not be limited to current gen..

As for detroit n florida mixed, i think thatd be a decent idea

A huge state kinda like SA but bigger

Carcer city with high crime
Vice city (meh) with beaches n sh*t
New city with other mad sh*t
N all the surrounding countrysides
Throw in a bunch of movie references and...

Id be happy with that.. GTA 6 confirmed! Lol

I'm too poor to get a new console straight off the box. Guess I could sell my DS and XBOX and get a PS4 but IDK.

Carcer City with high crime? Just take Jacksonville (where i lived for a long time of my life - 12 years until i moved out to LA) and add more crime, because Jacksonvilles got it all - a large ghetto, crappy beaches (like the beach in GTA IV), a lame public transit system, a relatively big downtown, then a rich section. Got a lot of danger. I lived in a dangerous neighborhood (Avondale - it looks nicer, but it's really quite seedy). And then you have Miami, and then the new city would be something like Tallahassee or Key West.

@GuapoBean Yes, I already went over that in one of my posts.

Not trying to imitate mods but this is the wrong section, also too early to talk about gta 6.

Anyways I think It's not going to be in vice city only...They probably going to copy and paste gta v los santos map countryside and add San Fierro, Las Venturas, Vice city and liberty city all combined.

i was hopeing GTA5 would be a Nevada based map with a fully realized Las Venturas with surrounding cities and sprawling deserts to burn through. i personally think the city of Reno would be an EXCELLENT small city they could recreate for that map. the potential for Nevada is just limitless imo.

i sincerely hope that one day, they do Brazil. i think that game is Sooo due for a Rockstar touch. they toyed with it in Max Payne 3 and its a shame we couldnt do more exploration in that game. MP3 could have been an Incredible open environment game but alas, another opportunity is squandered.

i think London would be a good place to do it since that was one of the first games they made in the series but...in all honestly, id rather see BULLY tackle that environment instead.

Yeah I agree with that... I really liked the job they did it with MP3, and every time I played that game I tought "man, it would be really cool to REALLY explore this city, GTA style..."

And Sao Paulo sounded like a really crazy criminal city, I think it would be perfect fit for a GTA game, hell, they did a GTA in NY which isnt a really crime city anymore...

Maybe something like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, one big gray city and a tropical city, i dunno... And lets remember that Brazil is one of the 4 most violent countries in the world

But at the same time, GTA has a very strong connection to american culture, they love to parody that, so I really dont think they would do any other city outside the US...

But anyway, brazil would be great.

It'll be a long time before we see a GTA 6 because we know how much detail R* like to put into their games, but it's not as if it's impossible for them to outdo themselves.

It'll be in next gen and they haven't even done a GTA in Vice City yet in this generation. It's a great location for a GTA game so they're bound to return to it at some point. The other most likely location for a GTA game would be a debut in Chicago. It's a major American city which is known for it's crime, meaning a GTA game there would definitely be a success location wise.

As I say, it'll be a long time yet but it's not as if R* are finished after this game at all.

I don't think the GTA series will ever leave American Grounds again for its setting. The whole parody of GTA now is the play on American Society and how ass backwards it is (at least that is what I have been getting form the games since III).

I would love to see another GTA London though, bring it back to the old top down days. Plus I really like European architecture and the look of European countries. They just look really nice lol.

My guess for the next location?

Chicago, or Atlanta or maybe even the San Francsico /Bay Area?

Not sure where they can go from here, but I don't see them going back to VC. VC was a Standard Definition era city, and the HD era is about to end with V, and move onto the post HD era (Not sure what to call it, don't really think Standard Def and High Def eras are good ways to classify them but wehatever I didn't make it up lol). They will likely branch out to a brand new city, or kick it into super gear and instead of basing it off a city just go full on fiction. I just like seeing them remake cities and give them life like their real counterparts do. I guess only time will tell.

Detroit would actaully make a LOT of sense. I would actually like to see what they could do with Detroit. sh*t we might end up seeing a Marshall Mathers character if they do, which would be interesting. I wonder how the story would go if it was set in Detroit, music and gangs would have to be a major influence on the story.

Also I just noticed GTA 2 was set in Anywhere City in the year 2013. Rofl, strange that the first time I see the date for GTA 2's setting it is that current year.

I think they should return to a gritty, and horrible Carcer City. I think it was based off of Detroit and Chicago and I'd love to see them do an over the top crime ridden city. Maybe let you play as a cliche dirty cop...or a guy that was once a dirty cop or politician.

I like everyones brazil idea, rio n santos, major crime, propa gta material..

Memphis or detroit? Ive never been america but arent they similar to stuff we've seen in the past, concrete jungles? Liberty city material?

Would a fake detroit really be something different or Refreshing?
