No-one's excited for a new Ratchet and Clank game?

It's not next-gen, disappointed.

How would a game like this have next-gen graphics?
Anyway, that's great for me as I'm never getting next-gen consoles.

Umm at what point did I discuss it needing next gen graphics. I am annoyed because I would have liked the PS4 to have had a strong platformer at release, as I'm not entirely convinced by Knack and Insominiac has pedigree.

The series is strong enough surely for a next gen game.

In any case this one looks very appealing, similar to the old school gameplay. Def getting this. icon14.gif

Would've preferred this as a PS4 launch title, but still excited.

I've always loved Ratchet & Clank, so this could be good.

I'll be getting this on PS4 because I want to deviate from my PS3 as quickly as possible.

The question is, will this game be a true PS4 port, or just the PS3 version emulated through Gaikai? I'd love them to take advantage of the PS4's power. Less loading times, 60FPS/1080p, etc... But really, as long as I get this on my PS4, I am happy.

The $30 price is worrisome. It pretty much exterminates any possibility of there being a multiplayer mode included. Also, I hope the story mode is at least 6 hours long. The challenge mode will give this game 12+ hours, since I'm getting the platinum trophy.

It's not on PS4. Only on PS3.

They haven't flat-out rejected a possible PS4 port, though. There might be a small chance.

Even if you're right, it will eventually appear on Gaikai - and that's when I'll purchase it.

The game looks astoundingly beautiful. I just love the graphics. The mechanics/physics look slightly different, but I'm sure ill adapt. icon14.gif

I figure I'd bump rather than create a new topic.

So it came out about a week ago in the US, and yesterday in Europe. Thoughts?

It's the first R&C I've played since Up Your Arsenal, and it's been a good time. I don't like the gravity puzzles very much, but the other gadgets, levels, and weapons have been great so far (I've only had time to play for about three hours). The only real complaint I have is about the camera, it doesn't do a good job of pointing you in the right direction, and those levels can be a clusterf*ck to navigate.

I've always wanted to play Ratchet & Clank (and Jak) but I never do, I don't know why but I never buy or play them.

*adds to Christmas wishlist*

I've been waiting for this for a while. I've always been a fan of the Ratchet and Clank series. I'm so glad to see it's a "proper" R&C game, and not a spin-off like Full Frontal Assault and All 4 One. Those ones didn't appeal at all.
