Just because you can hold more weapons doesn't mean the game will be any easier. In fact, that might mean you'll have to be smarter with your weapon choice on a case by case basis. (Especially with weapon modification) Maybe the enemies will be smarter and harder to kill as well.

I actually like the way it's set up and the face we can have all the weapons at once.

In one of (maybe even both) of the mini GI articles, and in the Gameplay video it was seen there was an arrow on each side of the Gunís name for selection like RDR hinting towards carrying all of the weapons per class.

That said RDR was still plenty tough and most likely like RDR and past GTA games, there'll allways be the next weapon in the class that outshines the previous ones, Gun Customization may limit that and make them all useful, as well as now being able to have two diffrent weapons per class dedicated to diffrent Situations (one for long range, another for say mid range firefights, and then one for stealth etc.) as well as now leaving it more or less to player choice as to which weapon they like for what ever reason.

Also much like RDR I see me personally (and I'm sure others will be the same) that I'll stick to one or two weapons per class by the time I have all of them.

The weapons of the same class also use the same Ammo pool so it's more or less like having one per class anyways. I don't see how it's really dumbing it down.

That said this is a greenrock topic I don't even see why I'm wasting my metaphorical breath.

Because it involves talking about GTA V, and anything to do with GTA V to pass the time will do.

It sucks, but it is true.

I don't know man, with the weapon wheel and customization doubled-up with the cover system, I feel like I'm in for a really good time.

Dumbed down comparing to what?

GTA IV? You could carry ALL THE GUNZ!
GTA: Chinatown wars? Same.
GTA: Vice City Stories? Same.
GTA: Liberty City Stories? Same.
GTA: San Andreas? Same.
GTA: Vice City? Same.
GTA III? Same.
GTA2? Same?

He means all the guns in game like RDR. You can carry them all at the same time, but you can only place one in a slot. So you can carry 3 shotguns but only use one at a time.

In GTA IV i had 5000$ i said i am going to go and buy RPG i bought it with ammo i used it and then Niko threw the gun away that i spent all my money on it. Now i don't have that money and have to do some missions to earn money so i can get a gun and then throw it away. It's like buying a brand new car with full tank gas and when gas runs out i leave the car. I love this feature. In IV you earn too much money and have nothing to spend all that money on it was easy to buy guns at the end of the game now that in V money is important i rather keep the gun and go buy ammo.

exactly.... it dumbs the game down..... having so many high powered guns at the same time, i much rather have a safehouse where you can keep guns and switch between them, that is what i was talking about, that was my main point

I don't have a problem with it. In RDR, if you run out of revolver ammunition, it's not like you just pull out another revolver. The ammunition for all of them is consumed. That makes it less of a big deal for me.

This.

greenrock kinda reminds me of people that complain about the ability to change clothes or date, completely ignoring that it's entirely up to you.

I don't see it as dumbed down, more of an upgrade. They keep focussing on things like 'fluidity' and 'immersion', I think these changes are all part of overhauling an old system. They are going to make us work hard for our weapons and cars (I.e having to spend a lot of money) so why not make the process smoother like they have done? The weapon wheel is much better IMO and allows us to have a choice in what action we take by having to select certain weapons for each slot.

i forgot it takes a toll on the whole category

It could be offset by the AI being smarter/tougher (maybe) perhaps deadlier. Besides, as already said each type of weapon will share the ammo it uses with others of the same type anyway so you won't be able to switch from one handgun to another with full ammo again.
