Would be interesting to see if the whole stock system is done online.

Much like in real life, GTA fans work the stock market.

But if that were to happen, GTA online could just be the most immersive & dynamic online multiplayer ever made.

Why do I say that? Because that means that businesses in the game will grow or fall & we'd have to bank on that. It'd be a actual growing economy in a online world. I'm also assuming we'd be pitching into it & making businesses grow.

It'll be cool to see if that's implemented but if u consider this idea(which is a realistic possibility), then GTA Online could be way bigger than any of us even considered.

Good point! I would love it if this turns out to be the case. And also: That heists and various other player actions in the "real (game) world" affects stock prices.

But somehow I fear that the stock minigame will just be a more or less randomized affair not connected to stuff like heists or other in-game activities the player partakes in. Let's hope I'm proven wrong.

Yeah I fear it will be like that. It'll probably be extremely simple, even though it would be cool if they added an online system to it. Time will tell!

If its based on in game events, you should invest in ammu-nation and medical services. I foresee a lot of money being spent in both of these fields.

The thought is that it's only a multiplayer thing.

I'm quite positive stock market is a single player only thing.

And a good possibility at that.

No way the stocks are going to be random, we could just as well go to a horse track for that.

Think of it like this, in single player you buy stocks and contribute to businesses right? Say you raise ammunation stocks by being violent and wreaking havoc around town. Well say whatever stock you dont buy has a preset random pattern, and once you buy a stock it becomes more lively meaning the game now spawns certain events to affect it in a good way or a bad way. That bad way being maybe an in in game NPC bad guy is attacking your business, you have to go stop them or risk losing stocks, or sell it because that area is now dangerous or that could have a positive effect on your ammunation stocks, people then buy guns. Any negative impact in which you can help or manage could potentially make you money. Maybe you're faced to lower prices on certain items in order to make a decent amount of money while alot of money is lost but not as much as if you would have done nothing. Example maybe you buy a car business and real estate, you start to lose money on both so you're forced to lower prices so that you can stay afloat, one keeping the other going and having to spend money to keep money flowing.

It's beyond that because of what the implications of it could mean.

Cross platforming for the stocks will happen, I bet.

You'll use it on your phone & junk.

I hope it runs offline in single player only. What happens 5 years down the line when less people are playing or stop playing completely. What if Rockstars servers go down or are switched off. I think it should just be influenced by in game events that are coded into the game and not controlled by real life interaction.

Perhaps in GTAO they could do this but not for single player.

Single player - 100% offline
Multiplayer - 100% online.
