I love how people would have already known this if anyone actually paid attention to the physics of Trevor's truck and the police cars chasing him.

It looks bad. The fast turn he made during helicopter view...he was on a dirt road and made such turn.

If you think that is an unrealistic turn then clearly you've managed to fool yourself into thinking that GTA IV's physics are as real as things get. It's a truck built for the desert, on a solid dirt road, not a gravelly or muddy one, and he does seem to slow down a little, only a little, but he's certainly not flooring it at that moment. It's not exactly like real life, but seems like a MUCH better balance of realistic and enjoyable than GTA IV.

All I can say is you probably have never driven. That is the most silliest thing I've heard from you. And I've never said IV has no problems in it. Truck built for desert, rofl.

The tighter handling will be WAY more fun, even to people bitching and calling IV's handling perfect. Which makes about as much sense as February 30th.

Wait why the f*ck are people bitching? These physics look great. Improved from IV. R people seriously bitching about how it's not realistic or how it's Arcady? Christ you people don't stop complaining do you?. It's a video game! The physics were created for the game to be fun, to Have a sense of realism. This isn't a driving simulator u douchebags.

Guys it only bugs me because people are "worrying". No reason to worry over a game. This is R* baby. They know better than to give us crappy sh*tty physics nobody likes. These guys been in the sandbox business forever.

So, people trusted rockstar to make both a non-intrusive prison mechanic AND a non-intrusive fuel mechanic, but they change the driving physics a bit, JUST A BIT, and suddenly the game is ruined.

Some of you guys are bi-polar, man. Not all of you, but some.

Glad that's out the way, I would have flipped if all the cars handled similar. icon14.gif

Can't wait to see how much a Spoiler will effect handling. icon14.gif

Have all of you even thought that the perfection of the driving could have been something scripted?

Admittedly, I was a bit worried but I always had faith in R*. This pretty much answered exactly what I was worrying about.

I hope the sports cars will handle like the Sultan in IV, as that was the best handling car in the game by far.

Those two cops are crazy..
They hang on the side of the car, one on the left side of the police car and the second on the right side.

The SUV hits the 9F, but... where are the damages? If was IV, that little hit at high speed should make the 9F spin ...

Something like that happened today in IV... and in a bigger, heavier car. I was driving a minivan in IV and someone tapped the side of me on the highway -- I was going a little bit over the speed limit -- and my minivan just spun. Maybe the 9F -- don't forget it's probably AWD because the R8 is -- just has better traction and good body structure thus a tap wouldn't make it spin out of control? I don't know confused.gif

Look closely- immediately after the impact the right light of the SUV goes off

It clearly barely touched the SUV. This is a result of DRIVER SKILL, not some magic resistance to damage and the laws of physics. C'mon, people.

Thats a pic of a regular sultan. On the same note, sultan rs handling was by far the best in IV.
Watching the V gameplay i noticed the camera follows the car much like gran tourismo which is a bit stiff lookin.

Ah, that's what I expected but its good to have some confirmation. If I want cars to drive much like IV, I could just pop in that disc or use un-modded cars.

They're not crazy, that's common procedure when they have to take a dangerous suspect down.

this made me think....what if V has the suspension and realistic driving vibe from IV going, combined with the pace and fluency of horse racing in RDR? it would be off the hook

I know. I think the regular Sultan had more balanced handling and was just generally more fun.

I'm sorry but bullsh*t. Some super high end cars will drift like crazy especially if they're RWD. I don't want high end cars to feel fake and dumb. I mean what the f*ck, driving in IV was fun because it felt a little more serious, there was sophistication, and you could really feel the difference between even the most similar cars in certain classes. All they needed to do was fix the body roll and make the sense of speed feel greater. But no, now you can drift a car by turning it at 120mph. suicidal.gif

lol flame me.

The car is highly tuned where it probably has some kind of part that makes turning easier. IMO I hated IV's driving mechanic and if you say it was realistic its not. I turn a corner w/ normal speed and I drift like crazy. I have my car flipped and I just get back up like It's nothing. And how is anybody going to tell anything about the driving with a little clip.

Tires and suspension. That's all it takes. These people bitching about it not being realistic are probably kids who don't even have a license, much less actually race. Besides that, all we see is like 4 seconds of driving total. You can't tell sh*t from that, hell you could probably watch a 2 hour video of nothing but driving and still be surprised once you actually PLAY it. Whiners gonna whine. sigh.gif

I've noticed that every post is heaping praise on Rockstar without even raising a hint of doubt with regards to the veracity of the email. I'd personally like a bit more proof before I can rest easy in knowing the driving physics haven't been ruined.
