IV replayable? I couldn't play it once without hating everything except a cutscene. suicidal.gif

WTF are you talking about?

It looks great. Its like IV but with stiffer suspensions, which is exactly what they had to do.

I'm not disappointed but i'm not overly happy with the driving but this isn't a driving simulator.

Muscle Cars better float like boats, that's the fun of them.

No not at all. When the red car turns on the highway from left to right, it looks like there is NO suspension at all. Obviously when I play it, then i will judge it properly, but it doesn't look promising as of now. Otherwise, it is THE perfect game. I can see GOTY being awarded to it.

Who cares if its more arcady? I will love that. Cars controlled like ass in GTA4

A lot of people liked driving in GTA IV once they got the hang of it.

I could easily win every race and still didnt like the driving cause it was no fun to drive a boat on the streets

Soo true^^

Driving looks so unnatural. It's pretty much the pure arcade. In this case I want a driving physics from IV back.

all you guys do is complain. They give us gold and expect ft Knox. This game is gonna be epic on a massive scale, and all youre complaining about is the driving? Thats why people look down upon "GTA fans" or at least the wanna be fans.

Even if the driving does look a bit arcade-y, it's not as bad as SR3 where you can like, drift around the entire city without stopping because of it's super easy driving physics and all that.

That does not make it any better. GTA is in a league of its own and from the looks of it, it seems like they've listened to all the crying kids who couldn't control there car in IV because they don't like braking every corner sarcasm.gif

I don't think there was enough of the driving shown, but it did look a bit on rails like.

Steering is way too responsive.

I'm sorry, we live in the 21st century, we have this thing called power steering.

The driving looked like boxes sliding across the floor. Hopefully that's not the case when I play the game. A bit worrid about the driving mechanics. confused.gif

Me too sad.gif

Driving is a big part of GTA games.
If they ruin it, big part of this game dies.

To be honest, i'd rather have more arcade-like driving than the really slow, unresponsive driving from 4. I hated the driving in 4, why did anybody like it? All the cars handled terribly, and every time you tried to turn or drift you'd like, spin out. Sure it was realistic, but it was really annoying.

I will have to actually play it before i can draw any conclusions. It's all about how it 'feels' to me.

Probably the 1 moment in the trailer when I thought: oh, this looks a bit sh*t. I'll still have to play it first to really make up my mind but it looks a bit 2 arcady.

Very disappointing, I LOVED the driving in IV, it was near perfect ( needed a bit of tweaking)

So sad to see the whiners who suck at games ruin one of the best thing to happen to open world games ( good, in depth driving physic)

Maybe it wont be all that bad, maybe.

That is the only criticism I have on V, the rest is awesome and I am excited for.

Power steering lol your a tard. It showed a scene where the car cut across 3 lanes of traffic and then cut back 3 lanes of traffic at 100mph plus.

To me because it's raw and unforgiving and it's more than possible to drive without spinning out. There's a thing called a brake.

Because most of the experience is about the driving, you tool. IMO yes it does look very Saints Rowish. I hope it hasn't become to arcade-like when we actually get to play the game.

Power steering doesn't give you unrealistic amount of grip. Only Formula 1 car could make a turn like we saw in the video at 4:26

Arcadey would be like watch dogs. The car looks like it's a brick with no suspension or movement at all. By the look of this gameplay, that is not the case. Most of the driving gameplay was clearly done during a race on the freeway. If they had showed what driving normally looked like, our opinions would be totally different. Wait till you actually play the game to say that it looks arcadey.

Thank goodness! The driving in IV is terrible. I've been playing it since it came out and it still pisses me off. I have a real life driving license so don't say I can't drive. The cars are terrible in IV.

V's cars look much better. I'm looking forward to it.

It's pretty difficult to judge the driving without actually playing the game.

It still blow my mind that people didn't like GTA IV's driving though... It's one of the reason I still play the game, because the driving is endlessly fun.

I guess some people are just more into going fast & powering around corners than enjoying the particularly character of GTA IV's driving.

Power steering has been around since the '50s. But that has nothing to do with the suspension geometry and laws of physics that dictate how a car handles. In the real world, cars DO lean when you take aggressive corners at high speeds. There are lots of idiots who seem to think cars should have no body roll because in their daily drive, they don't experience any. I have always had faith in R*, but making the driving more arcadey is only a good idea if they do it very subtly.

If you want realism, buy a car. I want driving to be fun, first and foremost.
