Everything was great! But especially the graphics. This game is absolutely beautiful, and I can't understand why IGN said the game didn't look that impressive. They probably said that because they got the sh*ttiest preview of them all so they thought they would take a shot at Rockstar.God I can't wait for this game!

Yup when you take into account IGN have never given any GTA or R* title goty which I find bizarre. I'm glad R* don't give them any exclusive news. Colin Moriarty was talking out of his arse when he said the graphics were poor...looks amazing.

Vehicle customisation is going to add so much replay value for me personally (especially with the insame amount of depth it has in V) smile.gif I remember with San Andreas, I was always searching for an awesome car and giving it some nice new decals. Can't freaking wait!!

My son spent most of his time doing this on San Andreas too, so he'll be like a kid in a sweet shop in V.

Me personally I hope Futo's are back. Coz I wanna soup the sh*t out of the best street car to ever grace GTA biggrin.gif

IV was just a test that succeeded for its time. V will be a revolutionary move in gaming. IV was/is one of the best games of all time both sp and mp. No words can be said for how awesome V is gonna be. EPIC is so much of a understatement

Just the detail they have put into the game. Water looks great, especially in the jetski scene. Also, in almost every shot, the clouds are different and have so much realism. Overall the game looked great for current gen and it totally exceeded my expectations. People complaining about the driving physics are just being pessimists. Wait till you get your hands on the game before you judge how cars drive...

EDIT: I forgot to mention the gunplay mechanics. Wow. Easily makes this game the best third person shooter just by seeing that Franklin shootout gameplay. Loving the weapon wheel as well.

Nice thread

I watched the thing several times in amazement. And I'm still buzzing...

-Seeing that woman's animation while jogging over the river bridge. Holy crap!
-Seeing the wind direction / wind speed gauge during hunting.
-Watching the deer in the background get spooked during the ATV dirt race scene.
The deer are freakin' quick and nimble, great animations too.
-The mountain base jump looked fun as well. Looks like you have more control during the dive,
(similar to wing-suit flying smile.gif
-The Cars look fast, and motion blur is gone. Drool...
-Improved car sounds, and ATV's sound nice. Yinnn YiNNNnn...

Love it R*

has anyone else noticed how the characters never actually have their arms straight against their side when they are standing up. their arms are always at a slight 45degree angle even when they're just standing not doing anything. it's a little odd, maybe a slight hindrance in Rockstar's engine.

Interesting and funny observation but a post that's borderline negative. None of that in here please wink.gif

I thought everything was perfect and I honestly never expected anything from Rockstar because its been a long wait. I think the coolest thing is not only seeing all these new features from IV, but that old things actually got improved upon like driving, shooting, and boredom. They could have easily just updated a little here and there and put out a game like COD, but they really seemed to have taken their time with it and I'm grateful and excited. Also I thought driving looked super cool the cars seemed less rounded and more grounded and quick mind you the cars that were shown were sports one so maybe that's why I assume regular cars will move a bit different, but you can't ask for much more.

I am extremely happy with this. Grand Theft Auto has never pulled the same old sh*t
that games do these days releasing a new game every 6 months just to provide some
ill excuse to squeeze another 60$ out of the consumer. Rockstar seems to be the few
designers out there that truly make a masterpiece and then build from that masterpiece
into a perfection.

I was a fan of Assassins Creed...stopped playing after II

I was a fan of Call of Duty... Stopped playing after WAW

I was a fan of Need for Speed...stopped playing after Underground II

I have ALWAYS been a BIG fan of Grand Theft Auto...They ALWAYS make games setting the bar
above the rest. No gimmicks,no slight variation, and no BULLSH*T

I give a round of applause to the people who fabricate these games they desrve every million they make
in a age of gaming were it's half ass'd and or RE-release of the same garbage.

CALL ME A FAN BOY...im proud to be.

Grand Theft Auto is the direction **MOST** games should take.

Yeah, I too have to hand it to Rockstar. I already thought the game was going to be pretty awesome. I realized now it is literally awesome, as in, I am actually in awe.

It looks like they are definitely going to live up to their advertising.

It looks really impressive. The protagonist switching mechanic looks very quick and fluid all things considered, but I love the MP3-esqe style shooting.

Everything looked amazing to me except the driving, which was good but not amazing. Heres my top 5 favourite things shown:

1.) Car customization. It looks to be on the same level as MCLA, as an article stated, excluding the lack of decals, which haven't been confirmed yet.

2.) The graphics. Graphics aren't the most important thing to me but GTA 5 definitely looks like a leap (not a step) up from GTA 4.

3.) The city. Back when the blueprint was revealed, the city did look kind of small due to the lack of streets shown. However, the gameplay trailer clearly showed theres tons of streets that aren't on the blueprint. The city is also full of life and each area looks very unique.

4.) The countryside. Wow. Need I say more?

5.) The level of detail of the character outfit customization and the speed at which you change clothes. The amount of outfits appears to be much more than San Andreas. The more clothing options that exist, the more the game suits the player. If you can make a character dress nicely, the game becomes more enjoyable. Take Niko in GTA 4 as an example. You had suits and some clothes that didn't seem to match him. Many of those outfits suited Franklin, although I wish they showed some outfits for Michael and Trevor aswell.

On an unrelated note, I am very excited with the GTA Online stuff. It seems like we will get a multiplayer gameplay trailer soon, showing all the new game modes and of course the classic modes. Also, I'm glad to see a thread for positive feedback rather than the screaming and crying all other threads are. Good job, OP. icon14.gif

On another unrelated note, during the scene with the white car driving in the rain, theres a sign that says "Steak and Cheese. All You Can Eat." Realistic steak confirmed? biggrin.gif

The insane amount of detail

for example: the license plates

you can customize the motherf*cking color of the license plates! or atleast choose from different styles! check out the sentinel when its coming out of LS customs, its black and yellow! and the Police license plates say "SA Exempt" at the top. Awesome!

The gameplay video was really great. Personally I loved the gun combat, the bit where Michael is shooting people while hanging from the helicopter really reminded me of Max Payne 3. Everything just looks so fluid and smooth. icon14.gif

I'm pleased with every bit of info I've got so far. I have to say I'm exited to know more about the economic side the V world, like businesses, gambling, buying properties and most of all the stock market.

From the several times I watched the gameplay trailer, the feeling that kept coming up was just how refreshing it looked. Like the screenshots and other trailers didn't really show me the vibe of the game. Especially since the past 2 Rockstar games were RDR and GTAIV, where everything was grey or brown. This game just looks like a breath of fresh air and seems to encompass so much sh*t which makes me excited because the SP looks to be good enough by itself, whereas in GTAIV if there was no MP, then it would've gotten stale so quick. f*ck man...

You mean his default one? I didn't think we'd seen him with a different haircut yet.

We've seen Franklin with 3 now (the middle one is essentially the same as his default one with a line shaved out of it):

This time, nobody can tell me it's lighting or shadows or whatever. I just really hope I can give him dreads of some kind.
