Well I said I wasn't gonna watch it....I lasted an hour lol. My expectations have been exceeded. Just so much content packed into that trailer.

This thread is for peeps who ave been blown away by what R* ave shown today and to point out your fave bits, what surprised you and any other positives u wanna point out.

Positives only. If u wanna point out negatives do so in another thread. Peace!

ps. Gotta love Rockstar.

So I'll start with something simple.

I was pleasantly surprised by how busy the roads looked with traffic, something which had me worried from watching previous trailers. To see the roads packed like that was a joy to my eyes.

Also...the stock market. Amazing!

My favorite bits? Probably the fluidity of the combat with Franklin, it looked like they ripped it straight from Max Payne 3. On a similar note, they changed the damage model which was one of my biggest gripes in IV. Now people go down in about 1-2 shots.

And yes, the stock markets. That was so unexpected and awesome.

I liked how close the shooting was to MP3. It looked awesome. The animations of the characters were all top notch.

Annoying car spawning is fixed?
They were driving supercars but I didn't see 10 of them driving around at the same time!

The character transition going to the beat of the song, not sure why but that was just so damn cool!
And how smooth everything was running, driving, shooting, swimming.. It was all so liquidy!

- the car customization, when I saw it - I creamed my pants looked so cool

Yeah that bit with Franklin running and gunning while entering the combat wheel was so fluid. Really good to see. Basically MP3 shooting but in GTA. Could'nt ask for more in that regard.

Another thing was the height you could reach in the skies. Huge scale!

Interested to hear what you guys think so Thanks for your replies people.

My first impression, watching it once without pausing is wow, this game looks incredibly smooth. The transitioning between characters, the cover system, the physics when people get shot. I was happy with everything i saw.

The one part that had me thinking was the clip of someone weaving through traffic, will it really be that easy??

Also...parachute customization?? Lol

After all the months of negativity and hating, I'm glad this thread exists.

- graphics look much better than described by IGN and other media hacks
- the in-game economy (stocks, real estate, etc.) seems really attractive and actually meaningful, rather than something in the background like in previous GTA's
- combat and movement looks very fluid and fun
- flight mechanics also look beautiful
- confirmation of hunting animals is just blowing my mind right now, it seems like it will function economically like it did in RDR

Also, am I going crazy or did the video mention something about bounty hunting?

WHERE DO I START???

- The game looks beautiful. Much better than I was expecting!

- driving looks much better!! Also the cars don't sound like sh*t.

- guns sound realistic

- love the weapon wheel and how it slows down time. I wasn't sure of this but I like it.

- gun mechanics are the same as MP3. perfect!

- the map looks HUGE!!! And the draw distance is impressive as well! Everything looks so clear and colourful!

- did you see that mountain?????? It has little paths going right up it!!

- character switching is great! Much fun will be had.

- the mini games look real fun smile.gif

- stocks/properties. AWWWWW YISSSS!!!! biggrin.gif

I've probably forgot something but I don't have one bad thing to say about anything. I need this game NOW!!! going to go watch it again for the 90937392727292nd time smile.gif

I wonder if frank coming out of the medical marijuana shop was one of those random moments
when you switch to another protag or if buying weed will perhaps boost your special? either way,
its going to be fun to throw a bomb in there

-I was very surprised at how fluid, smooth and realistic it looked when Franklin walked out the marijuana dispensary and onto the street

-From the character transitions, you can see that Los Santos really is f*cking huge

-Michael and his family, hope they play a big part in Michael's gameplay

-Driving looked top notch, like a mix of Sleeping Dogs and IV

-Buying stocks and properties online?!?! I bet that isn't all you can do on the internet either. Ammunation delivery service a la Chinatown Wars, anyone?

-Grand Theft Auto Online, all those players driving around the city with lots going on

-The interface looks really nice and polished

-There must be what, like 50 different wheel types you can get?

-A sh*t load of clothes too

The whole trailer was worth the wait. The driving and car customization looks awesome. The stock market was unexpected, but so cool!

I hope those negative dbags, delay worrying tools go away now.

Everything seemed so fluid and consistent. Along with the gunplay, I noticed that the enemy AI moved like in Max Payne 3. Realistic; no jankiness. Pedestrian AI is also impressive. They don't seem to just suddenly zig-zag down the sidewalk like in past GTA games. The girl Franklin looks at as he leaves the medical marijuana center--she has boob physics. tounge.gif Pedestrians were abundant and diverse at the same time. Definitely seems like they're aware of the environment, too. I can already tell this will be one of the most lively game worlds ever created.

While I was watching the gameplay video for the first time I kept thinking to myself, "this seems like the open-world genre's The Last of Us." Both games push the hardware and take full advantage of what makes a video game narrative so special. Really impressed with the visual look of GTAV--Rockstar's biggest game yet and it manages to be as good-looking, a lot of the time better-looking, than most linear games. So much detail. The fact that this is running on hardware with 512mb of ram makes the thought of a Rockstar game on next-gen hardware with 8gb of ram TOO exciting. Like, good god.

Still can't understand the people who say the animations and character models are bad as it looks better than 90% of games out today. Definitely comparable with Naughty Dog IMO. The cutscenes look great.

Few other things I like:

- Chop following Franklin. No idea how far they'll go with Chop and if it'll be exclusive to Franklin (pets), but I see myself taking Chop on rides to the countryside. tounge.gif
- The character-switching. Incredibly stylish loading screen, but I bet people will complain either way.
