Seriously. Why does thread replying suddenly stop when I reply to it?

It happens to me too. I guess it's just an impression we get when we post.

it is because you are so awesome
your points are so good and so comprehensive,
that they say all that is needed to be said and any user who comes onto that thread goes:
"sh*t, everything I wanted to say was said by this guy... this guy right here is the sh*t "

What sucks even more, is when I reply in a thread, then right after that it gets locked or deleted. Happens quite often to me. But to be honest, I like posting in troll threads for some reason confused.gif I can't help feeding trolls.

And it happens to me too that a thread ends as soon as I post in it, no biggie

Aren't many here in the West? By the time you wake up and see a topic it's more than likely been talked about.

It happens to me all the time when I used to post around GTA V forum. It's quite annoying, especially if you've posted a long thoughtful post and then no one replies to your post or the topic. Oh wait, I'm not insinuating that thoughtful posts always goes unnoticed, but I'm tellin' that you should make your posts in such a way you're acknowledging the posts of other people so that it'll make them respond to you in return. On the flip side, if you're gonna make one word/line posts like "I agree" "Agreed" then there's a snowball chance in hell your post will get noticed. Perhaps, it's just me but it irks me when I see people post I agree kinda posts. No, no, no, I'm not telling you should never agree with what other's post but you should also be adding your pov too, right?

RIGHT?!

Haha, happens to almost all the time.
It's because we aren't popular like some other forumers. wink.gif

I suspect this to be the last reply.

Yeah, this happens on daily basis to me. And it really irks me at times when I make a long post, and the topic dies instantly after it. But yeah, that's nothing new, especially in the GTAV forum where the posts of an average member doesn't exceed five sentences.

I don't want this to start again...

If I'm doing anything wrong in this forum, please directly tell me, and do not answer with a swift and immediate permaban.

And no... do NOT call these two posts "spam". I do not know how to quote two things in a single post.

And you can't figure that out? I'm sure you know how to open links in a new tab and copy the contents over to the previous tab. Double posting isn't tolerated just because you can't figure out how to multi-quote. It's slightly tedious, but if you don't want to double post, there's no other way.

Yeah, go with either Girish's suggestion, or simply install the Multi-Quote Script for GTAForums. It requires Greasemonkey.

You'll see a button called user posted image next to the user posted image button and, after you press it, simply add a new reply and press on the Multi-Quote button on the typing field, and your quoted posts will appear all at once. icon14.gif

At least you are not a forum apocalypse like me.
I joined - Lots of people suddenly got banned
I started respecting Zee - He gets banned the next day
I joined Realistic Steak topic - It gets locked in next few weeks
I reply in a thread - It gets locked or buried later

That isn't exactly what I meant. Whenever I reply to a thread, it just stops. It doesn't get locked, and people don't get banned. I feel like I'm being ignored

Sorry for the off-topic question, but is there and equivalent I can use for Chrome so the Multi-quote tool can work on it?

I'm the same. Every-time I post, I dread that I've killed it. 9 times out of 10, it's not the case.

The Chrome version requires a small questionnaire to be filled out.

One of the questions is "Do you frequently go off-topic with your replies to forum posts?".

In his case, that would be a yes.

It happens, yes, but it's much better than sh*tty sarcastic replies. The latter usually happens in the V section.

It's worse when in real life you walk into a room and everyone else walks straight out, especially when it's a fully packed church and the vicar spits on you as he goes past.

I hate my life.

The MOD's should use some of you then, rather than lock topics just get one of you lot to post in there then no one will ever post in it again.
