Hello,

Would you be able to be a Cop (uniform etc) either in single player or multiplayer?

Nope. Odds are you can be a vigilante like in previous GTA's though.

Hope you can get a cop uniform in V, it's one of the things I hated about IV was no police uniform!

What purpose would being a pig in GTA 5 be? The game centers itself on stealing cars, robbing people, etc. Being a pig would defeat that entire purpose.

Well, maybe you'll be able to help people on these random events and pretend you are a cop but I'd say not much else... But you'll certainly be able to use the police computer to stop crimes...

What about being a dirty cop? You could do the same as a criminal but without being annoyed by the police. This has to be the argument of a future GTA turn.gif

those police missions in IV are stupid because

1. you can still get a star by going for that suspect
2. you go to shoot and kill him not arresting him and then send him to prison or precincts .

That could very well work, though. Being a dirty cop playing both sides of the fence.

I agree with the first point... But the second one I don't. You are not a cop in GTA so you can't arrest people. It makes sense. Also, cops do not arrest people when the people are shooting at them, they kill them. Since in those missions, you always get shot at, it makes sense too.

This. That's why they are called vigilante missions in the past GTAs. Because you are a vigilante, not a cop.

Just like Batman.

Yes. - Franklin. Undercover bro.

Nah serious, wouldn't surprise me if he is though.. Ain't going to effect me if he ain't either. We'll see, but I highly doubt it. As long is Vigilante returns I'll be happy.

What exactly do police clans do? Do they meander about on free roam games, trying to "pull over" other players who speed and drive recklessly?

Pretty much. Or create private lobbies and "role-play" with all clan members.

Pretty much.

That isn't fun at all, forcing the law on people who just want to have fun in a video game.

Most clans create private lobbies and dont really attempt to "role-play" in public games. Plus many players actually don't mind it.
