This is a debug save (almost everything is displayed and unlocked) with debug weapons and skills.
There are no restart traps.
All girlfriends are enabled and set to 40% progress.

Include the name of the save tested in any reports.
Players may use cheats or trainers when performing tests on debug saves. Please declare what is used.

The primary purpose of this save is to test the new cars, colors, and plates.

Please let me know if there is a problem with spelling, or if you would prefer a different abbreviation for the custom plates. Custom plates are applied to either the front or the back plate; check both. Note that the rear bumper of the Banshee must be damaged before the custom plates will be displayed. Other vehicles won't display custom plates if the bumper is damaged, but a pay'n'spray (not a save garage) can repair the damage.

Most cars with custom plates are being painted with "hidden colors." It is my impression that these colors are not only unique, but brighter and more colorful that the standard colors. However, the colors are awkward to test and are often unpredictable. Sometimes a car with the same hidden color will appear with a completely different color. I consider this a feature if both colors are nice, and a bug if the other color is pink, dull black, or something ugly.

Dating - Known Issues:

CJ will often call a girlfriend by the wrong name during she-drives and gimp suit dates.

Helena often has problems finding a safe path from Verona Beach back to her house on a she-drives date. For normal game play I would recommend not looking for a vehicle at Santa Maria. During testing I want to know if the problem is bad enough that her she-drives dates should be disabled.

This save probably won't be able to test if Millie's 40% starting progress will be enough for her to cough up the keycard after a failed date or missed call, but if she does call about the card, please let me know. I'll craft another save to test this setting a little later.

No, the Comet is there, and should have the same colors (nope, next update it will though). For the most part cars with old plates are being retired, but I want to keep the association with the player with the custom plates removed -- sorry. There is only room for 15 custom plates so the less active players that had custom plates, myself included, have been moved to the video game hi-score easter eggs.

Choosing the names for the custom plates is an agonizing process. I'm sorry if anyone feels left out. There are several names that should be on the list but at this point I'm not willing to pull plates from long-term players that are still active.

V2 Testing in...

The Firetrucks are the same as MrMateczko said-the ladder trucks are still the default red.

Everything else looks great-I love the new car colors on the custom plate vehicles-especially mine. Thank You for that. smile.gif smile.gif http://i429.photobuc...zpse78793d5.jpg The close up of the plate did not come out as well as I have hoped...

I also like the new armory at the Willowfield safe house..


I still have to do the GF testing...not done with that part yet...wanted to get a few notes started so you guys didn't think I forgot about the testing.. smile.gif


One question I have though, is: Is it possible to make it where the Angel Pine PnS stays open the whole game, instead of closing after that one mission in SF for Wang Autos asset? That is a good location for a PnS, however, it closes half way through the game....

Nice screen shot. However, you should probably trim off the left side, resize, or thumbnail it. It stretches out the screen.

A note on the Deep Purple Turismo. On one occasion it appeared to have the Bittersweet Chocolate color featured on Madd Dogg Banshee. This was one of my favorite test colors so I'm hoping that car might do the cool color morphing trick - or maybe I had an older setting somehow.

Yes, I can rename the garage to keep the Angel Pine PnS open for the whole game, but it would require completing the... Puncture Wounds (?) mission without failure. If the target reaches that garage the mission will hang (IIRC) when it can't control the garage door. We considered this a pretty severe glitch and decided not to rename the garage. But I'm sure the truth of the matter is that anyone who fails will probably reload and try again, you just need to do this before she gets to the PnS. I'm open to comments on this suggestion.

Questions:

Should I remove the maxed out nitro from some of the garaged cars? In particular, the BP/FP FBI Truck at the Mulholland safehouse, or the Doherty Super Cabbie.

Do people still like the extra 100 armor? This was originally intended as a buff for 4 star gang wars. Is it still needed, wanted, or expected?

Should the restart traps remain? The girlfriend bonuses override them, which I might be able to fix if I enable Katie and Barbara right from the start. It doesn't seem worth it. Should I try to fix the restart trap I know is broken? The restart traps aren't causing any problems with false glitch reports, so I'm fine with leaving them in.

rubregg put the bribe back in the alley next to the SF fire station, but at this point I wondering if anyone even remembers that bribe or cares if it's back. This bribe was pdescobar's solution to the bribe in a building glitch. He just moved it someplace near by that seemed practical. Later I figured out that taking the minus sign off the X coordinate placed that bribe right smack in the middle of the broken bridge at Palomino Creek, so I moved it there instead. But rubregg missed the alley bribe and put it back, and now I'm wondering if I should keep it or not.

I usually finish this mission before she even manages to get to the countryside and I've punctured her a couple of times when she was still on the highway so I don't think this should be a problem to be perfectly honest. Maybe in the rules we can mention that you cannot let the woman reach her house and if players are uncomfortable with this mission they should not attempt it. I wouldn't mind it if you rename the garage but the others may not be so happy.

If you're looking to create space for other vehicles then why not? These vehicles are barely used anyway and Vigilante is completed usually with a HPV-1000 and a SMG. And I don't think anyone here is a fan of 4 star taxi. I mean people in general don't have an interest in doing this as this is usually one of the last side missions done in the game. You could also consider removing the Pimp mobile in Verdant Meadows. Not once in the 20+ round I played I saw someone complete 4 star pimping. I never tried it myself but it's only my opinion.

Not sure why you would want to remove it but I'm fine with 100 armor points or 150 when the vigilante is completed. But having more armor did make gang wars easier the round I unlocked the remaining territories to unlock EoTL. Now, I remember this extra armor also came useful when doing the Vigilante mission from a bike. Usually at level 9 or 10 the enemies shoot CJ with a shotgun and one hit takes a substantial amount of health. Basically, it'd be better if I knew why you want to remove this, if you need to create more space for anything then go ahead and remove it.

There are already ways to avoid this trap for example if you die at the Bloodring or if you re-spawn in front of Katies house. Players already know that they are not allowed to die and if they still continue the save will not be accepted. We can simply check if the last player has died or not and then start taking the turn as GTASnP actually indicates how many times the player has died. So go ahead and remove them to implement the girlfriend bonuses as it seems promising so far. I can imagine it will be a lot easier to obtain the key card and obtaining proofed vehicles should be easier to an extent as well.

The only bribes I ever use are the ones at the armories if I ever need to lose heat without saving the game so you can remove it. I don't see the point of keeping this bribe pickup in all honesty.

I was busy the last few days because of a Physics assignment but I should be back to the 100th round soon.

As far as the Restart Traps go, I say it should be safe to leave them out for now. If we start having problems with people saving after getting wasted/busted in the Chain Game turns, then we can bring them back if need be? As it is now, I don't see that being a problem with the current players?

I for one like having the extra armor and health in the game-and after doing the Paramedic and Vigilante missions it will increase more...It makes some missions as well as the gang wars easier and less frustrating, in my opinion.

This one would be yes, if it helps with the stability of the save and would prevent glitches from popping up? The FBI Truck is probably yes, as I don't really think people use that vehicle enough to actually benefit from the need to have nitrous on it? The Super Cabby, again, depends on how much it actually gets used and if it is causing an impact(or potential impact) on the save's stability/glitch creation?

The Bribe in the alley behind the SF fire station is one that I remember having in the Chain Game. I tend to have used that one a lot more than the one that was over the Polomino Creek bridge(I think the only time I actually used that one is during one or two of Catalina's country side missions)..

As far as the PnS I mentioned about in my last post, I would think it would be best to leave it as it is, if it has a potential to cause a glitch(ie. game freeze)? I would not want to risk the save's stability or create potential glitches. However, if most players tend to pass the mission on the first try anyway, it might be possible to add it?

Because we are experimenting with hidden colors and sometimes they aren't always the same color. Pink and black are common glitch colors. Interesting color variations are a bonus. 0909090 has as screen shot with the intended Purple Haze color. I'll try again and hope for better results.

The only reason for clearing the nitro from the BP/FP FBI Truck is to make it more useful. My impression, and comments from way back when, are that the nitro gets in the way. The same might be true for the Super Cabbie but it's actually really easy to get more nitro from the mod garage. I tend to use that because it's a little closer than the PnS. I liked having the nitro on the Pimp Mobile. It doesn't matter if these get used. I'm not really rethinking the whole save, just a few of the closer calls.

Bugged, but try again a few times. That's a really nice red when it works.

The hidden colors don't offer much in yellow, but the standard taxi yellow can be held in reserve if nothing else works. However, there are quite a few greens to choose from. Would you prefer a mid-hue or darker tone? Or if that Candy Apple Green shows up far too often on Willowfield Remington, would you be happy with that color and sometimes the Candy Apple Blue? (I'm anxious to include this color somewhere.) Ch33ta's car was supposed to be blue most of the time, but I usually get the green so I'm considering a change. Are other players getting the same results? Anyone else get the Bittersweet Chocolate on the Prickle Pine Turismo?

0909090 discovered a problem with the barriers so I need to rethink my CG starter scripts. Otherwise I'm in pretty good shape for a minor update.

0909090 and/or radioman: please check for pickup spawn conflicts with the optional armory objects. rubregg nudged things a little so the pickups shouldn't in the way of the objects. The current save can be used for comparison.

0909090: Should the plates read "_DREVIL_" or "DR_EVIL_"?

Keeping the Bloody Red color for the Camel Toe Infernus for more testing. It would help if other players also check on this vehicle.

Everyone: is the Willowfield Remington usually green or blue?
miromiro: should I try for something blue-er anyway?

I'm having a difficult time completing the new unique jump at the small casino (jump 23 on the map) with the frame limiter on. So far I can only complete the jump with the frame limiter on if I use a fast car with nitro. Please report your observations.

Please check Helena's she-drives dates for problems with finding a safe path home.

Is there any clipping or other problems with the "unused" clothing? Maybe check the shoes while wearing shorts.

Are there new colors working properly with the mod garage's parts and paintjobs?

Please use the Change Log in the first post (and new new plates and old plate list) to do line item checks for each modification. If players only check on their favorite vehicle there will probably be a long delay between the end of round 100 and the start of round 101.

Orion, I'll tested it there seem to be no spawn conflicts with pickups in armory. Regarding to jump 23, I managed to complete it after several tries, I however need empty road and so I accelerated with Nrg bike and constantly tapped up key, and I made it. Though empty road is kinda problem, once you will have to turn even little, you won't pass the jump. Regarding to DREVIL's car, I'd prefer "_DR_EVIL_" but I'll PM whether he likes it or not.

Don't worry about these changes for the CG 101b1 DB Dating save:

New colors for fire trucks: I'm swapping some colors for beta 2, we can check then.
Millie's progress is 40%: I need to craft a save specifically to check this setting.
Move the curse-reverse to new location: the admin's will check this one.

Clarification: the cars that had the plates removed should be considered new spawns. Please make sure they appear.

Sorry for the late reply, I had to use my old XP laptop to test this one out, as neither of my Windows 7 PC's have the .ipl file..However, the objects spawn great, as seen here, and here, and here.

A few things I noticed are: While on a date with Katie, she wanted a "She Drives" date-guess she wanted to drive Girish's car-lol..however, there is a possible glitch? Video coming after it uploads...video here.. Basically, after she starts driving, she gets out does some stuff and then gets back in and resumes driving...

Also, there are large fps drops in Angel Pine for some reason? This goes for my XP Pro SP3 laptop as well as my Windows 7 laptop..I noticed this a while ago, but kept forgetting to mention it..

Also, I noticed that the Radio tends to change stations on it's own occasionally-like I had it on the User Tracks Station and while on the Highway to SF, it automatically changed to SFUR-FM...(Was I too far from Thunder Country 107.3FM, Pensacola)-lol tounge2.gif lol.gif This does this in LS too at times...

Also, don't know if this is a Chain Game thing only or not, but...on the "She Drives" dates, it comes up on screen that you can change radiostations during the date, however, when I press "R" OR Mouse Wheel(those are the keys that change radio stations in game), it does not work for some reason?

Thanks for checking the IPL objects.

We seem to be getting a lot of She-Drives dates. I should check to see if I've got this date forced to be next.

It looks like Katie was just mad at another driver. I'm not sure if I've ever notice Michelle do this. It doesn't seem to be a problem but I'd certainly feel better with more observations. Thanks for the report.

I have no idea why Angel Pine would tend to have an FPS drop. It certainly doesn't seem like a likely area for this. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have no idea why the radio would change, or won't change on the she-drives dates. I don't think I've messed with the buttons. Interesting observation.

I've had a minor setback on getting beta 2 out. I need to reinstall and get CLEO set up properly again. Should be sometime tomorrow though.

Forgot to mention, I think this is an actual game issue, as I have experienced this on the PS2 version as well..Haven't checked the PS3(PSN) version, as I haven't got that far into the storyline. I'm also curious, would PS2 saves work on the PS3 version, since that is suppose to be a straight port from the PS2? I'm curious, cause I have the Chain Game save for PS2, and was curious if it would work on the PS3 version?

Also, on the "She Drives" dates, those only work with the cars-motorcycles do not trigger them for some reason?-noticed this on PS2 as well with Michelle.

I have never seen Michelle do this with those dates, which is why I thought to mention it..?

The dates are random, as I just did a date with Denise, which was a she wanted to take a ride date, which after the "fun" meter filled, the two-timing dates enabled in which Helena showed up and cause of the traffic, I was unable to evade her in time(even though I was in my Turismo-lol) and thus the date failed, which I assume means the two-timing dates are still enabled, if I remember correctly?

Orion, I think there might a little problem with GFs. I noticed that in description of the save it says that girlfriends are always available. I dated Helena a bit, I wanted to test out the she drives dates and after 2 dates (I saved after each one) she wasn't available when I came to her place. I had to wait till midnight.
