Do you remember your first game you ever played, on a console or PC [not arcades].

What was it, and what was it on? the feeling?

mine was super mario bros and duck hunt [came as a package] on the Nintendo Entertainment System, my cousins console. he bought it for a few hundred quid, was like the latest sh*t back then. crazy how the bre on screen moves when you tell him to, was amazing.

The first game I played was Sonic (don't ask me the full title, because I don't know). I played it on a SEGA console (don't ask me what it was called, because I don't know lol).

But, I really started to get into gaming in 1997 when I got my brand new, state of the art Pentium PC (my very first PC). The first game I played on it was Tomb Raider II cool.gif

My very first gaming experience was Sonic on the Megadrive. Very faint memories but I remember loving it.

Good question. I think my first game was probably one of those Humongous Entertainment games, the adventure games for little kids. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to go back and play them on ScummVM, or just let the nostalgia sit in my mind. I remember having probably five or six HE games. My favorite was Spy Fox 3: Operation O-Zone, and I also remember playing Freddi Fish (1) a lot. I sometimes wish I was into more adult games at the time. The adventure games that came out for windows in the late-90s seem like they'd have been more fun to have played.

I also remember lots of Tycoon games. I think Rollercoaster Tycoon was my first, and Zoo Tycoon (No relation to my username) was my favorite (but that didn't come out until later).

And my dad had his Gameboy around the house before I was born. I remember playing loads of Link's Awakening when I was very young. Nowadays I can barely beat the second dungeon's boss. confused.gif

My very first gaming experience was when I was 4 years old, I was playing FIFA 2000 which had just come out, and, needless to say, this was the start of a videogame addiction biggrin.gif

You've just jogged my memory! I had a game on floppy disc on our old PC called Sky Roads. It has since gone freeware so anyone can play it. Did anyone else ever play this fantastic game?

My first ever console and game was The Sims: Urbz in the City, on the Xbox.
I actually still have both the console and the game in perfect condition, sitting on my shelf gathering dust.

This.. this was the first real game I ever played. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was around 4 years old, we still had this old crappy Windows 95 PC. Brings back a lot of good memories. I still have that game somewhere, I 'll never forget it.

The Sims on PC.

I had my first computer in Summer 2006 when I was seven. Before having The Sims, I was playing Solitaire while listening to Crazy Frog music. I had the Internet by phone at the time. Good old days...

This should be in Gaming Chat.

FROGGER!! I think so, anyway. It was on the PS1 and me and my sister used to play PS1 a lot. She's the one who got me into games. Then we got a PS2 and it was like the biggest and most revolutionary thing. biggrin.gif

The first game I played was Mario Bros on the Atari 2600. I'm not actually from that generation, thank f*ck, and I'm not that old. My dad borrowed the console from one of his friends. The first game I played on PC was Prince of Persia. I was sh*t though, I struggled just to kill the first guy.

Are you like the childhood me or something? Because these are the exact two games that got me into gaming *hi-five*

I used to play them in my mate's house before getting my own Nintendo. It got it as a birthday gift. My first PC game was some police genre game called Virtual Cop, followed by Spider Man, Vice City, Halo etc.

Just an interesting bit of info tounge.gif .....

Did you know the original Lemmings game was made by DMA Designs, the studio that would later make the little game called Grand Theft Auto? The studio that we know today as Rockstar North inlove.gif inlove.gif inlove.gif

Also Psygnosis, the original company that DMA Designs was signed to is responsible along with Sony for creating the development system that was used to develop most PlayStation 1 games.
