I decided to reinstall SA [v1 original] on my laptop. In order to optimize graphics, I set my anti-aliasing to 3. Now when CJ looks into the mirror, I see that his teeth look broken, gums are visible...it's just weird. This also happens on level 1/ level 2.

However, when I reset Anti-aliasing to 0 the problem is gone.

Is there a solution to prevent "ugly CJ" and keep anti-aliasing at maximum?

The mirrors are done like that so it doesn't lag the game, remember it was made in 2004 and real time reflections were a thing that lagged even the strongest PC's. That's how it's rendered and AFAIK there is no solution nor a mod for that, it's just how the engine works, though I heard the "missing" parts bug was only on certain mirrors.
As for AA 0 "fixing" the problem, it's probably an attempt to optimise the game as I said, it would probably start lagging the older computers, so with AA zero the mirror isn't jagged but in the other levels it is to prevent lag.

The games Graphics are crude to begin with...
How does your machine's guts compare:
Recommended System Requirements:
Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor (or better)
 384(+) MB of RAM
 16x DVD-ROM drive
 4.7 GB of free Hard Disk space for a full install
 128(+) MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce4" or better)
 DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card
 Game pad** with twin axis analog controls (USB or Joystick Port)
 Keyboard & Mouse

Do you really spend that much time looking at CJ up close?

It meets all recommended requirements more than comfortably.

Yeah I know it doesn't matter and all...but it still feels strange to me.. tounge.gif

So I guess the only way to avoid this is set AA 0.

There's actually a mod for it. tounge.gif

Modding discussion isn't usually entertained in the Troubleshooting forums, but I'll help anyway.

Download Silent's ASI Loader and then put the file in the pack onto the main game directory. smile.gif
