There's no XBOX controls in the mod.

Isn't that the case in GInput too?

I think. It may come later though.

Edit: Tried the vehicle camera movement mod. Makes the game camera retarded. Got to manually make the camera look forward and the on foot controls like standard. The auto correct isn't right ether. But I wish I could have the swimming and climbing with out the parkour stuff.

Yeah, it's not ideal, and a way better with mouse, but i got used to it.
I have swimming and climbing without parkour stuff, what's the problem?

I can skip intro but in the game menu and during playing if i press anything nothing happened (I am using DS3).

also for other people who got it working, use the silent's Vice City Trails (enable trails), Road Reflections Fix, Rosenberg's Audio Fix and PS2 Loadscreens to feel like you playing the console version.

Are you making sure Motion-In-Joy has the 360 emulation enabled for the controller so it tricks games into thinking it's an Xbox 360 controller.

Weird. Script just emulates "T" key press, also it doesn't always work for actually calling a cab, but it works for picking one for a ride. I had to reassign cursor movement to DPAD, entering the cab to DPAD_UP, destination button to B / CIRCLE.
I tested it only with x360 pad.

The script works perfectly! It also works in Steam for Linux! The game just had to be Wine Wrapped.

I tested it only with x360 pad.

Not sure what I did, but after adding/removing some Cleo scripts (mostly some of yours tounge2.gif ) the Taxi script has been working flawlessly. Not having to hold down the PS button anymore.

Turns out III has more code differences from VC than I thought, it may take some time yet.

I got the controls working for the PS3 controller. However it displays the buttons as if the mod wasn't installed. The controls work. As for the Xbox 360 controller, the controls work, and the buttons work.

Edit: Now its working. It suddenly started to work.

Do you think you may make a touch screen GInput? That is adding controls from the mobile version? It would make the game playable on a Surface, as if you were on an iPad.

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your work on this SilentPL, it's really convenient to be able to use an Xbox controller. However I've noticed (perhaps my configuration of controls?) that when an information box appears on screen whether in car or on foot it makes it impossible to use the analog stick to turn the car or the player. That's the only thing I've noticed, but it may only be me. Regardless, great job on this. I'm a big fan on your work and whenever I see your name on something I know it's quality. icon14.gif

That's something which sounds like an error by R*, but I'll check it out.

I need to find an excuse to release 1.02 anyway to re-add XP SP1 support (current build requires XP SP2 or newer) anyway icon14.gif

Someone should really re-do San Andreas version of this mod, because San Andreas mod has issues with menu, Xbox 'B' button should be used as back.

It doesn't recognize stick dirrections. Shows "Press [Left Stick, with no dirrection] and [Left Stick, with no direction] to steer, when it should tell "Press [Left Stick, left] and [Left Stick, right] to steer.

And some texts just go outside the box. Anyone could do this? Maybe You author have some time? I would totally buy you a beer or something. biggrin.gif

Found a small bug. If you are in a heli, and you land on a surface that would make the controller vibrate, the controller will vibrate when you fly the heli around (horizontally, it will vibrate until you land on a surface that wouldn't make the controller vibrate.

Edit: Silent, do you think you may be able to convert the Xbox cut scene hands to the PC version of VC?

What exe and controls set are you using?

I'm using an original VC v1.0 exe and my control set is default (Haven't changed a thing). I've recently noticed that it isn't always happening when boxes appear on screen, it's quite random actually.

Blame R* for that. I use the vibration data THEY prepare (but PC version never used the prepared data).

These button icons are from Grand Theft Auto IV, straight rip. Higher quality and bumpers and triggers actually look like Xbox 360 bumpers and triggers!
