If there are are something to hide, R* will hide it. EXAMPLE: Hot Coffee. Were in-game, just hide.

But what does this mean for Austria and New Zealand??

^^ Nothing, i have pre ordered the C/E and have asked about if it was the uncut or possibly cut version and they said NZ has never banned or had cut versions since their company has existed (10 yrs,MIGHTY APE NZ/AUS)

Ahem...

http://www.gameplane...-Theft-Auto-IV/

http://www.gameplane...-to-Gameplanet/

It was announced on 15 April 2008, and subsequently reported across the Internet, that the New Zealand release would be receiving the edited Australian version[30] with Take-Two Interactive Support Team citing "time scales and logistical reasons" as the reason.[31] Later, on 5 May 2008, it was confirmed the original version of the game had been submitted to the OFLC.[32] On 21 May 2008, the original and uncut game was now officially classified by the New Zealand OFLC thus legal to sell in the country

I got the uncut version,

I pre-ordered the PEGI special edition on Amazon.de, I hope it won't get indexed before they can ship it...
It would be a huge gamebreaker for said countries to get an even slightly cut game. -.-
However, I agree with Mr. Cozzarelli, and I'm sure Germany (and Australia) will get an uncut game...

Im a bit worried atm.
Saints Row was banned in Australia and gets a cut in Germany. Although SR is way less realistic in terms of graphics ( which is something that SR devs did want )

Im like 80% certain that GTA will get a cut in Germany or even a ban in Australia.
I already canceled my pre order and pre ordered the Pegi Special Edition on german Amazon. I guess since german Amazon has listed the Uncut Pegi Version, the german Version is expected to get a cut...

Although I could play Pegi, that would likely cause problems with DLC or even online play. (In SR1 and 2 you only were able to play against germans if you had the german version..)

Why don't you order it from another German speaking country? Like, lets say, Switserland or Ostria?

Hell, you can even order it in The Netherlands tounge.gif

I already did. PEGI Version from Austria. wink.gif
The CE Ive pre ordered is still the german Version. Im waiting for a cut/uncut news, then Ill cancel one of the pre orders

If they end up cutting things out of the game, its best to wait for the PC version and get an American friend to buy the game for you, then gift it on steam. you'll get the uncensored version!

They haven't cut it at all.

It's even been rated "high-impact" in terms of Drug-Use, which means there will be a tonne of that, but it's not related to incentives, so there's no reason to ban it. If a game has you taking, buying or selling drugs, it's fine, if those drugs give you more benefits than hindrances, that's not fine.

If they were releasing an edited version, we would have just found out.

North America and Australia got their classifications without any cut, here's hoping for Germany to also rate the game without any cut.

Are you dumb or just trolling ? It says original version in the classification board which means it's uncut and no edits made to the game .

tbh. Then Im not really worried about the cut but more about an uncut version. Could mean less violence. which isnt a bad thing but GTA should stay what it is: violent

On 1 January 2013, the R18+ rating for video games was implemented into the classification guidelines.(australia game rating)

And therefore,GTA V will not have censored version in australia

Well if AUS has no cut version I think it's safe to assume other countries won't either. Just bring me that rating(18) for the UK and I'm happy.

or the extent of violence and all that stuff has been reduced in general.

Gearboy did this with Borderlands 2 for example. BL1 had serious gore which was cut in some countries. So they did cut the gore out worldwide. there even was a petition to bring it back

guess we have to wait till rellease to know

I doubt anything has been cut but yeah we won't know until release. Whenever I see games get banned it makes me think of Manhunt 2 and all that sh*t that game had to go through. confused.gif

Well, here's the classifications of IV and V, to compare (differences in bold)

IV
QUOTE
Intense Violence, Blood, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Partial Nudity, Use of Drugs and Alcohol

V
QUOTE
Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, Nudity, Mature Humor, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs and Alcohol

GTA V seems to have upped the ante overall, "Nudity", non-partial, means that at some point in the game there is full-frontal nudity, which wasn't in IV, and the addition of the "gore" classification means that the violence is more visceral. That makes a lot of sense because IV has a fair amount of blood, but no actual body mutilation or visible damage. The "gore" probably refers to the fact that there are now visible bullet holes and probably a certain amount of mutilation, although I wouldn't expect any dismemberment.

So no, it doesn't appear to be making anything "safer" (not more so than IV, anyway), at least going by the ratings.

Here's some of our gore. Bullet holes, More bloody bodies.

Possibly animal attacks (like Sharks) will bring forth some other form of gore too though.
