Looks good but I'm not gonna pay for it. I'll just wait for someone to pay for it then upload it somewhere for free.

This isn't right.

You don't own ownership of RAGE formats (WDR, WTD etc.) therefor, you can't ask money. Because it's not your technology.

You can ask money if you would publish your 'mod' in formats like '.3ds' for models and '.png' for textures, but that defeats the purpose of a mod.

I encrourage no one to buy this. bored.gif

I have a feeling that this will be locked and OP banned soon. Who would actually pay for a mod to a game that is made by someone else? suicidal.gif

Not just here but legally Rockstar can sue you dry for using their engine, and franchise and trying to make money off of it.

When were these builings made? Your textures are decent and the use of IV trees make the overall environment somehwat look good. But these buildings...they're completely flat? Like GTA3 beta quality.

And that tram, you can't be serious. lol.gif

Also, he can be sued by car manufacturers for using their design, logo, etc. without permission.

Now you see how russian law works. It isn't usual here on international forum, but believe me, this is normal in Russia and Ukrain.

bullgames, your map looks like good but you need to understand that we cannot sell our mods because we use RAGE engine and its property of Rockstar Games.

As you know also, you have passed time to make this map, I understand that is your work, but modding have to be free, tools for modding also, if you want your own GTA like games, buy an engine and create your own game, i will buy it, i dream that one day we can play a game like GTA in europe, not bullsh*t like SR or sleepingdogs...

think what you want but if somebody buy one he will share, so make it free and share or keep it private.

it would be cool if i sold my mod DESERT IV only for 1 euro, i should have today 30 000 euros but we made mods free in our free times and free tools and we ask to those who likes mods to only give us stars lol not money...

I hope one day you will understand and change your point of view...

I think he might even make more money with donations if he makes the mod good.

The models are flat. He aught to make them more 3d. Though, they could just be a skeleton as to what it will look like. Some of the current stuff is Gameboy quality.

not sure if I should laugh at the little idiota or just report him...

I hate it when people make a halfway decent mod then expect money for it.. sh*t dont work that way puto, nice try though...

anyway...
@bulgames
you see the pic in my sig? It is a screenshot from a game "I" made... nothing related to an "Intellectual" Property... Not a "Mod"... If "I" felt like it, I could charge Money for it and it would be perfectly legal since "I" "Own" it... (I wont though, I dont like charging people for games)

now do you see this?
user posted image

That is a "Mod"... I took someone elses resources and "Modified" it (There goes the root word of "Mod") therefore it is both "Illegal" and "Immoral" to charge money... since It is not truly "Mine".

tl;dr

Unless you made everything about the game (Engine, models, coding, etc) you cannot charge for it unless you want to face legal/financial troubles and possible extradition from russia to America/europe/wherever for court...

That would be a blockout model then, that's what they are called. You aren't suppose to show blockouts to the public.

Here is a blockout from a building in VC2, doesn't it look marvelous. biggrin.gif

Isn't that kinda how street view works on Google Earth? Designed to work from only one perspective.

However in the real world, sometimes when a place is under construction they put up barriers with a big sheet of paper on it. You don't see the construction behind it, instead its an image of what will be there. I know they do that at Disney. The blockout building in VC2 (and this) may just be place holders.

I have a slight suspicion that the OP might have gotten most if not all of his building textures from Google earth...

Yeah they added a feature that has can generate simple 3d buildings. It could also be taken from google warehouse, a lot of simple models on there with images taken from google street view.
