Cities from other games to SA

Do you know of any mod to bring Liberty City and Vice City to San Andreas without replacing the whole map?? I think I saw someone using them in Youtube, but I couldn't find any mods that didn't replace the original map.

Any ideas?

Nope, won't be possible cause of map limits, although, it 'might' be possible if we get to hack that limit, but the game would be very buggy. Closes you'll get is GTA United, which unites both LC and VC maps, into one game. smile.gif

I'm sure the state of liberty mod had all 3 maps... No paths in San Andreas though.
I could be wrong though I haven't checked it out in a while.

You're not wrong, I remember that mod right. That's why I want someone to re-create LC fully. Just essentially replacing that interior with the whole city, and making you be able to access at any time via plane and flying east (like in the mission).

GTA: SOL will be for SA and Rage in about 2 years from now.

it's not the map limits that are a problem for me, it's the ID object limit that is the pain and it's going to take a long time to condense everything [SA-LC-VC maps] to be under 19999 ID's

I am going through each model to work out what can be merged to reduce the ID objects.

So map boundaries are not the problem anymore? What tool are you using or is this private?

 

I remember you tested out VC with all the lods removed from the game and had problems. Is it the same problem if you delete all the lods in SA? I've removed all the lods for Los Santos and haven't come across any problems. Originally holes were appearing in the map as well as objects flickering but these two problems have been fixed by ThirteenAG. Deleting lods will help free up ID's.

I am seachig for a GTA SA Modd, adding much more cities than in GTA SA United.

Once I've found such a modd, but unfortunately I've forgot the name.

 

I would be very thankfull for your help.

What tool are you using to invoke the raised retail draw distance in SA, oh my tools are not secret within the SOL project, You can have just COL's attached to ID's without the models in the IMG and the normal dffs set as LODs. anything over 300 in the IDE.

 

This does not reduce the object limit unless you combine the collisions.

 

I am yet to try this on SA, but I have tested this on VC..

IDE_Tweaker by ThirteenAG. I never knew that you could load COLs without models, but yeah doing this won't help with staying below the object limit. A few days after posting that pic I didn't realise that the objects weren't loading when flying around the map until I got really close to ground level. Anyway thanks to _DK that has been fixed as well in this thread a while back.
