Definetly buy Bully. It's exactly like GTA, but it's set in a school. Typical Rockstar awesomeness.

Bully is a must. I'd also try The Godfather the Game, it's great but gets really boring after you finish the story.

red dead revolver is great. not open world and it's very linear in comparison to redemption, but still a good game with great characters and soundtrack.

Based off your sig, I would say go buy a current gen console and get GTAIV. You are going to need it if you want GTAV anyway.

Not that it offers anything that San an did, but its good for driving around. Also there are countless awesome free roam games on current gen consoles.

But as for PS2, all I can think of is Driv3r, I hear people didn't like it, but I thought it was pretty awesome.

I loved the Timmy Vermicelli pisstake.

Maybe try Bully, or Manhunt, get some rockstar goodness in you. But as above Red Dead is a good choice.

Go for Scarface, Mafia blows big time on PS2, I'd only play it on PC.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run.

I watched a quick play through of it the other day, and it didn't look as good as I remembered. Lots and lots of collecting and the actual game flies by pretty fast.

If you want a Simpsons game I'd recommend Road Rage. It's like Crazy Taxi, but with a challenge mode with missions that are actually challenging. You could probably get both games for $10 now, and Hit and Run is worth it if you're a fan of the Simpsons, or of open-world collecting games.

If you want to stick with Rockstar Midnight Club II is fantastic if you like racing games.

The Getaway: Black Monday

This. And the original one before hand, although even by PS2 standards, it is rather...clunky.
  • The Godfather (One of the best games i played on PS2)
  • The Sims Bustin Out (Sure i will be ripped apart for this tounge.gif But i really enjoyed it)
  • Max Payne (Original)
  • Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 (Again, i loved this game)
These were some of my favorites on PS2. Good memories.

Oh, just a quick edit, not sure how i forgot it in the first place wow.gif
  • Mark Ecko's Gettin: Up Contents Under Pressure.
If you have never heard of it, imagine a dated version of Assassins Creed, with the free running and climbing. But you are a graffiti artist, and you use your art and climbing skills to hit sweet spots around the city and get your name up. Unlocking a large variety of graffiti art as you go. My description does it no justice, it is really, really good.

Bully is my favorite all time game and I think it's incredible. Although some people don't like it for some reason. I still think it's worth picking up if you are a fan of GTA. I would also recommend Scarface and True Crime: LA as they are both really good and kind if have a GTA vibe to them.

I would also recommend the Simpsons hit and run as states before. That's also very good.
