i'd be about 80% certain that chop will end up dying at some point in the game, seems abit obvious i know, then Franklin will go on a mad revenge mission and f*ck sh*t up.

what are your views?

Sure Chop will stick around..
I was thinking Lamar gets killed or locked up..Which pushes Franklin back to the ganglifestyle and seeks revenge on his enemies

Ever since I first saw Chop I liked him. How can you not like Chop? He's a badass dog. Don't piss him off or he'll rip you apart!

I swear to hell, if Rockstar kill him or harm him in anyway I will hate them. Kill as many human characters (except Franklin) as they want but they better not touch Chop.

Im pretty sure Chop wont die, hes not as integral to the story and his death wouldnt matter as much as Michael, Trevor, or Franklin. Chop isnt the Call of Duty dog after all. I think it would be more sad to see Franklin die then Chop sitting there at the funeral with the leash in his mouth looking for somebody to walk him hahaha.

Nah, Chop is a new thing in gameplay, they can't kill him off. Even though we don't really know to which extent he will be present in the game. Whether he's on a chain at home, or if it's possible to have him come with us in freeroam.

Lamar is way more likely to die.

Please tell me more since you have obviously played the game. How is Chop not an important part of the story? He would definitely be important to franklin.

I say 100%, he will die at some point during gameplay. I might press the wrong button and end up sending him out in the open during a shoot out or something like that, causing the demise of Chop Turtle.

Lol everyone assuming someone dies is becoming pretty funny now, especially in most recent games people expected someone to die and once I beat them I laugh at them secretly until they beat it themselves.

NO he will not die.

I'm with 80%. I bet chop dies at some point mid to late in the game, and then you can "get your own dogs" (was mentioned you can get your own dogs as pets, only makes sense to me if Chop is the trainer dog/temporary dog, then you can get another "if you want" - you decide) - chop dies -> unlocks pet buying by mission to get franklin a new puppy. You never know! tounge.gif

Hmm makes me wonder.. if you use him during gameplay (if he's going to die) and you kill him before the sequence of him dying in the story and he gets shot and dies what happens? Is he invincible? Does the mission end and you have to restart from the checkpoint?

Aww that would be sad.

Like Aussie said, if Chop dies he'll just respawn anyway haha!

If Chop dies, Franklin is gonna have an insatiable bloodlust and break through the fifth star to get six heh jk. His rageometer will exceed Trevors.

In my opinion that'd be a rather weird move by R*. Why would you kill an animal in a GTA plot? lol. But it can happen, who knows.

I don't think Chop is a proper character. I wager you'll be able to buy all kinds of dogs or something.

Plausible. Maybe R* just used that rotteweiler in the trailer cause it's the meanest dog you can buy in game? Maybe there are other dogs for purchase like a german shepard or a lab. Each with different traits and skills eg one dog might be able to run faster or have a higher sense of smelling danger

How would he be an important part of the story? Hes a dog, thats all he is, sure somebody would love their pet but its not like hes somebody they are waiting to run missions for, its not like hes a person who talks to you, its not like he has a moral compass in the game which drives the story. Chop just isnt as important as Michael, Trevor, or Franklin not even as important as Michaels family, or Trevors entourage, or Franklins friends and girlfriend. Thats all I said. There is no logical way you can argue that. Hell Rockstar was apparently even looking at cutting Chop off the box art of the game, that tells me right there how little of a roll he really does play.

Seems way too predictable. I could see Rockstar going the way that in one of the later, missions - maybe the last one - it appears he dies. Then out of friggen nowhere he comes barreling through raising hell.

Well i think Chop IS an important character he on the box ain't he so there's your proof and like Cp1dell said yeah I agree there will be like a point in a mission where Chop is in a warehouse and it blows up, you think he died but then he comes trotting from behind some dumpsters
