Petka did exactly that on previous versions, full replacement of the sky. Custom shaderclouds, custom sky gradient, own sun etc. It is much more advanced than a simple skybox. Even moving starfield at night which fades out at sunrise was there.

Disable all VisualFX without any source code?

You would have to find out thousands of hex codes and manipulate them. Damn. This mod is some serious sh*t.

Lets hope this won't die like the other 90 % of mods here. Because the actuall successrate for actuall finished GTA San Andreas Mods is pretty low. So much vanished potential and so many modders gave up their mods because they had a "bad day" or something.

I think I've seen a video at a YouTube channel where some of your members was testing the SA map and some features on Unity3D.

Does Unity have anything to do with SA:Render?



Just asking, because the water, and shadow effects are really similar.

@MasterK No, from what I know it was just an experiment but it got ditched. Probably due to the amount of work needed to get the main features to work got them thinking if it's wise to even try to port a game as big as San Andreas to whole new engine.

@MasterK that was my project before SA::Render, SAGE and other graphical stuff.... but after 1,5 year i tryed to compile beta version wich have all Los Santos(as far as i remember) and it failed(something with memory)... and currently on my old computer i maybe have it...

Nice! It could have been a pain in the ass to get things right though. I'll give this engine a shot myself.

Will vehicle reflections be cubemap-based or just screen space like ENB?

I would like to see cubemap reflections.

@ivars - It's a pretty neat feature which everyone would love to be in SA though, would definitely help in giving the a game a new feel. After all, this is a graphic mod. tounge2.gif It's also not present only in IV, but other modern games as well.

I seriously hope this mod won't be end as dead as SA GFX. Because I know how much work it is and after the work gets hard and annoying they have no desire anymore.

And that is how almost every mod died. All is good at the beginning and everything is fancy but when the annoying work comes everyone says: "I GOT NO TIME. I'M EXTREMLY BUSY" or some other excuse.

If I thought about everything the same way in the last 18 years. I would never been graduated. biggrin.gif

And for the record: yes I know that my english is sh*tty. Thanks for all fags pointing that out wink.gif

I saw on vol-gta that this will have a huuuge performance hit. Am I right?
(I saw something like 128GB space of a 3TB hardrive, i7 4.3GHz, and a good videocard)

@Musi yes you right to run it with at least with 0.3 fps you need gtx 780(cause marty tried it on gtx Titan and he got only 0.28 fps), intel core i7 4.0 Ghz(well for more preformance you need 8-core processor with at least 6 Ghz), 128 GB of RAM and 3 TB space on disk for incredible 1 million strings of shaders and amazing images(300-500 GB)...
