Maybe it's because I'm not wealthy, but I have no clue if a belt, shoes, or watch are expensive.  I just really don't care about those things.  Not a fan of watches, I just don't like having anything on my wrist.  I used to wear a watch to work, but got annoyed by it all the time so I stopped wearing it.  And as long as my shoes (usually black athletic shoes, occasionally black dress shoes) are comfortable and belt is durable, I'm happy.

I am the same way. Maybe its because I hate jewelry and fashion in general and personally see no value in it but I couldn't tell you the difference between a $20 fake Rolex and the $20,000 real thing. Same with a belt. Cheap belts and expensive belts usually look the same to me.

But I could easily tell you the difference between a $5,000 car and a $500,000 car or a $200,000 home and a $2,000,000 home. Those are my real interests in terms of status symbols

Thanks mate. That humidor is good for about 100 decent sized cigars. Its a good one, i like the 3 drawer setup. I have 2 more simpler box style ones, one of which I use for storage, the other for loose singles and bits and pieces.

If you plan on bringing them with you to the US you might want to be careful as theres a chance they'll be confiscated.

I just picked up the new Razer Blade 256GB gaming laptop. It's so sleek for something so powerful, I liken it to an evil Macbook Pro as they both look very similar but the Razer is black with green backlight as opposed to silver and white.

That's awesome. Karmann Ghias are epic vehicles and a restoration project on one would be really fun.

So I've just signed up at a gym for the first time since university (roughly 7 years ago, holy sh*t has it been that long?!) and I just wanted to get your guys opinion on gym etiquette lest I embarrass myself.

Don't stare at the girls in Yoga pants doing squats. Learned that the hard way myself :p

Just be kind and courteous really. Don't try to hard to show off and don't be too much of a loud mouth. But engage in conversation with some of the other patrons though occasionally so you don't come off as a creep though. Gym culture is kind of weird.

I bought a box of 50 cigarillos without thinking; they're dutch, but I can't for the life of me find out what the initials on the box are supposed to say. It says [three letters] "Gold" and the letters are embossed and gold coloured. If I post a photo, would anyone here be able to I.D. them?

I don't see why not, I'll give it a try but no guarantees on being able to identify anything.

For the love of baby jesus, any machines you sit or lay on, place a towel on them so the seat/bench doesn't get too messy and soaked.

there's no such thing as gym etiquette.

pretty much the only thing you have to do is wipe down the bench you just dripped sweat all over.

aside from that nobody cares what you do.

you'd be surprised how self-conscious some people are at the gym when in reality nobody is looking at you. at the gym, everyone is focused on their own goals.

Thanks for the advice, I wasn't sure thats why I asked you guys but having just finished my first work out I feel a lot more at ease. Thing is I've gained a sh*t ton of weight since I was student and every time I see old friends the first thing they say to me is "holy sh*t you're fat as f*ck!" and I laugh and make jokes about it but inside I die a little.

This is true, but many people's self-consciousness manifests itself in looking at what other people are doing.

I think as long as you are using proper form, 99.9% of people won't have a problem with it, and the 0.1% who do are douchebags who hate on everyone anyway (I have only encountered one or two in my entire gym history). The most approachable people are actually absolutely massive dudes because they know everyone starts from the bottom (and everyone in the gym probably looks puny to them anyway so there's no point in judging haha).

I started with the exercise bike, because that is really hard to f*ck up. You sit on it and start peddling.

Been a while since I posted any cigar purchases but this is a good one.

Box of 25 Romeo and Julieta Churchills. Date stamp May 2009.

These are the kings of the Churchill Cigars. Initially made for Winston Churchill during World War II.
