I really wouldn't worry about it. The game is going to be epic.

I like the look of the mountains in the background. They look more like the San Gabriels that they are based from.

How do you people know the city is tiny? We haven't even got the game yet.

A city that has a smaller footprint than IV is way bigger than you thought it would be? What were you expecting?

Choco, people were expecting realistic sizes of LS, not a 1:1 representation of LA, it's your damn fault for expecting a city 2x bigger than LC. You don't have the game either, so you don't know sh*t.

So, a realistic size of LS takes up less space on the map than Liberty City?

I think something got lost in the translation. He most likely means realistic as in realistic expectations; and he's correct about the thing that quite a few people expected a city that is significantly bigger than Liberty City.

With everything else that has gone into the game, yes. GTAIV was nothing without it's brilliant city.

Exactly this. The city was a character itself with IV.

With V, the focus is on so much it's almost surprising how very well executed everything is so far. But hey, you can't rush art.

With a map the size of SA, IV, and RDR combined, the city should have at least the same size footprint as IV, especially since the city is based on Los Angeles.

If there is only 1 city, then GTA V will have a higher percentage of countryside to city compared to San Andreas.

I wasn't just referring to the map size, the amount of content stuffed into this game justfies the smaller city size. Apparently 5 years is not long enough to fully detail a Liberty City sized metropolis as well as design all these new features and craft the rest of the map.

That's one of my worries. The game is packed with features but the city seems like we will be visiting the same place all the time.

The thing I liked about LC was how dense it was. I still find things I didn't know about. But LS just looks like they made a less dense city and claim that it's sprawling. I'm sorry, but IMO the city is too small from what we have seen.

That's my opinion now, and I will be the first to wave the "I was wrong flag" come september need be.

i won't lie either the map is tiny or theire really smart making us think it is

but from what i can see it we have seen ALL of los santos already and thats shown in this picture ALL of los santos city

nah dude, I don't think that's quite right. The Observatory isn't that close to the Vinewood sign, there is some more city that you don't see in this new shot.

Look at these shots for example:

What about GTA IV: EFLC? So far, we've seen a promo card in Red Dead Redemption (Game of The Year Edition) and now in L.A Noire. Is there another?

Keyword there being "sense".

Granted we haven't actually played the game, I honestly feel for folks who expected something bigger, but I certainly didn't. I knew they Rockstar weren't about to make a city bigger than GTA IV.

Wait... I am super disorientated with the location of the Observatory now.

The Vinewood sign is what you've highlighted on the right, right?

..as per this shot:

http://www.rockstarg...ot/221/1280.jpg

But then how is that the observatory that you've highlighted on the left, given this shot:

http://www.rockstarg...ot/481/1280.jpg

Shouldn't the Vinewood sign be to the right?:

Here's another:
