The most annoying effect are the empty streets, because with such big and detailed map consoles can't handle too many peds and cars spawning on streets, thus the game fails to recreate the feeling of real living, breathing city and world.

Don't worry we are getting a next-gen GTA one day. This one was always aimed at current-gen and it will still be awesome biggrin.gif

In GTA IV PC there was an option to increase number of cars spawing on the streets.

When that number was put on maximum, the city felt much much more alive and breathing.

Yeah...empty:

Inb4 people say these are not representative of the final game...with no other argument other than "because I can't imagine it".

Getting real sick and tired of this whole "GTA V vs. Next Gen" sh*t. Why can't anyone look forward to GTA V as is? Why do we have to throw the 360/PS3 on the back-burner when the next-gen consoles AREN'T EVEN OUT YET!?

This forum gives me a headache sometimes.

Spawning gazillions of peds and cars wouldn't make the city feel any more alive, especially taking into account it's LA, it's not Tokyo.

I'm betting the streets in Watch Dogs will feel just as artificial as GTA V, if not more, even with all the power of next-gen.

It takes more than sheer quantity to bring the streets to life.

Please name one open world game that spawns a sh*tload of cars in front of you.
It's a design/gameplay trade-off decision. You can't drive if the game constantly throws tons of vehicles at you.

From what i've seen, No it won't. But anyways getting on topic, the city looks alive to me OP for example, the pics that GTAaLEX117 posted.

Why does quantity matter? I'm more interested in how peds go about their daily lives than the number of them. I love GTA IV's LC because peds do more than just walk around and it was improved with RDR.

If Rockstar ports the PC version to next gen and the game is much improved will anyone buy it? Because I will.

Besides, it would be boring if GTA V was absolutely perfect in every area because then what would there be to look forward to with the next GTA? confused.gif

I agree with you guys that the game is good for what it is right now, but nothings perfect. Even if it was good in every area, it's rockstars job to be creative, so I'm sure they would be able to come up with something new if that was to happen ( I would hope they would be able to moto_whistle.gif )

Aw what a shame.

You'll be waiting years then. Can't really like GTA that much can you? I'd you're willing to wait so long. You do know that GTA VI won't be out until at least 2017, right? Next gen consoles will be almost ending (they probably won't last as long as this generation has). So you'll face the same problem. In 2017, no doubt, you'll find something to complain about.

I have lost all interest in GTA V. It's too late. It will either run like sh*t, look like sh*t or be compromised as sh*t. Probably all of those. I will never understand why Rockstar North had to use five and a half years to produce a new game after IV.

Alright, you try then.

You think you can make a better game in less time? hahaha.

Just stfu and get out if you're no longer interested in the game. Seriously, I'm sick of people saying they don't care anymore yet they come on here whining and crying ...and will still buy the game when it's out. Make up your mind.

shut up and buy the game

Or

Shut up and leave.

You realize that it takes time to develop games yes? Stop being a whiney crybaby and appreciate what they have done. literally thousands of hours of blood swear and tears went into this for you, the gamer.

Blood, sweat and tears all for us, the gamerz. Wow. All this time I thought all they wanted was our money like the business they are.

On a more serious note, 5.5 years is too much, couple that with this latest delay and the uncertainty and contradictory statements about the features, I believe something went a bit wrong during development.
Maybe the whole company was stretched a bit too thin with all the latest releases over these years, I dont know, just speculating. But this GTA's development wasn't all that smooth. Maybe in a couple of years more light will be shed on this.

1- You haven't even played the game.
2- Rockstar already said that there will be 5 times the amount of padestrians than in GTAIV.
3- Just because there are a couple of shiny, new objects coming, doesn't mean the current gen consoles are useless.
