You dont have to play a game to know if its good or sh*t genius, but thats what the game publishers like to tell you when they make pure excuses of games, they just say buy our game no matter what . I am sorry but now in this internet age when they are entire playthroughs of games on youtube that stuff doesnt fly anymore , i can judge a game whether i played it or not .

No, you really can't.

Unlike every other form of entertainment gaming is interactive, you, the player are an integral part of the experience at ALL times. You can say you'll read a book in the day, and you will, if you really want to, do exactly that. You can say the same of almost every other piece of entertainment, whether it be a movie, TV series, book or music, you will get to the end of that piece of entertainment, regardless of how involved you are with it.

In a game, the player is as necessary as the engine that runs it for it to actually be finished, for it to be enjoyed and experienced. You haven't played them, you've simply viewed them, watching as another person plays them in an entirely different way to nearly everyone else on the planet that owns said game, as a result, you've as much right to decide how good the game is as a virgin who's just wanked off to porn has to judge how good sex is.

Put simply, you just can't rate the game from seeing it alone. There's a reason why we play games, not watch them.

Only a retard would say this. If you found out Duke Nukem was in development for over 10 f*cking years, you would have used your moronic judgement by saying how good it looked just because it was being made for that long.

Once again you prove how much of a retard you are when you dont understand what i am talking about, dude are you not tired already of embarrassing yourself and me owning you at every argument ? I know about that game and i could see what a pos it was even not playing it because i actually watched it before i bought it and me believing this bullcrap that you guys are feeding me i decided to give it a fair shake even though i could see it was not a good game and guess what , it still sucked !

@Secura I dont really believe that statement to be true, at least not for linear games, now if it was open world games like GTA,,Saints Row,Watch Dogs etc. or  rpgs then maybe its true. In most linear games the situations and the end result in them are pretty much the same no matter how many times are you playing them, thats why so many of them are shoe shorning in multiplayer to make up for that .

You own me in arguments? You must be having a laugh kid. All your repeating is "i can judge a game without playing it". Because f*ck playing it yourself to judge it, right? Idiot. The fact that you judge all linear games to open world games is stupid. Look at Saints Row, a prime example of a crap open world game, and a linear game such as Uncharted which is TEN times better. So I think you are the one who is getting owned.

The funny thing is that Naughty Dog made Uncharted and now you call TLOU crap which is actually a better game and made by the same company, and on top of that you are calling it sh*t without even playing it. LMAO.

Two problems with your argument, everyone will have minor variations in the way that they play, unless the game is so linear that all you do is press W on your keyboard to make stuff happen, and even then, you could potentially change the way the entire game plays out just by moving your mouse at a slightly different angle.

The second problem is that neither TLOU or DR3 are linear, TLOU rewards thorough exploration of its environments and has a tonne of little features and touches that you'll only find if you take the time to carefully admire and navigate Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic masterpiece. Not only that, but I remember writing like a ten page review on TLOU, one of the biggest selling points to me was the numerous ways the player was allowed to tackle each situation that they came across, something you seem to have all but neglected entirely in your rather brash statements towards the game.

The fact that you had no clue about either of the things I mentioned being key features (Those things being the non-linear nature of both games, and the sheer amount of variety open to the player at once) of both games. The fact of the matter is that it's impossible to truly experience and judge a game without having played it first.

Some more gameplay. The Tactical RC is awesome.

The game seems to get better the more I play, I'm not that far into the story so far but I managed to figure out who Nick and his friend Diego were before the game revealed it to me. I had an awesome "AHA!" moment.

That is a buzzkill lol..

I admit, watching the gameplay, really gets me little tempted, but not quite..to go out and buy a system to play it.

It looks like a fun game, I played the other 2 games and enjoyed them. But on another thought....Im gonna save my money..

Plus I told myself and family that I was not going to buy one. I wouldn't be sticking to my word if I change my mind now.

Damn. I would have liked access to Chuck's jacket. This is the first game where I've had fun with clothing options. I'm scaring myself because of that.

Something about Chuck.
Spoiler

I'm still really digging this game.

I was hoping to finish today, but it is football day so I'm not sure. I'm at the beginning of chapter 6. I'm just happy I'll make the end before the main game timer runs out.

Edit:
I just finished and got ending C. Whatever that means. This might be the first game ever where I am truly looking forward to my next play through.

I blame you for making me not get it earlier since I don't have the day one edition. :p    I picked up the DLC today and it was free.  All the outfits and weapons and what have ya.

I'm curious about the season pass though.  Has anyone here picked it up?  Sure I could comb the internet for my answers, but I'm lazy.  I'm curious to know if you get those extra missions and ways to play as other characters with different story angles right off the bat?

I have no idea what the season pass will get you. I've seen zero information about any DLC whatsoever other than the day one stuff.

I googled and apparently it's like 4 small story DLC things.

I got the season pass. I think it will be four different characters on each DLC, probably new missions and side-missions i'm guessing. I also have a question. I see there is a countdown, for me it is 5 days someodd hours left. Is this the only time I will get to complete all the missions and find all the collectables? If its only for missions, will we be able to find collectables when the time is out? Will the game end? I feel like I should start over for some reason.

The timer is important and yes, that is all the time you have to do everything. That is one of core features to DR. Your character, skills, attributes, available inventory and all that stuff stays with you forever no matter when you start over.

On my first play through I just motored through the main story so that I could get to the end before time ran out. Now that I'm on my second play through and my guy is a higher level with all sorts of extra health and inventory I'm doing all the side missions and collectables. It also helps knowing the map too...of course.

I really had no idea about being able to carry everything over stat and inventory wise after your first playthrough. I think I will enjoy this more now. I will try the same setup you did. First playthrough missions, second playthrough collectables, side missions. This just brightened my day. Sweeeeet. Thanks

Keep in mind nothing was staged. I just randomly killed a small pack of zombies with a light saber.

Nope. Still can't invite or be invited.
Also, I never got any notification of an update. How am I supposed to know if it updated or not?

Sorry for the late and lame response. I say lame because I'm on a tablet and it is too much a pain in the ass to dig up and copy/paste links.

If you keep your x1 always on in standby it should have downloaded it in the background. The console won't turn on with voice and after you turn it on via the front button it should have power cycled itself after a minute or two.

I wasn't there when it happened, so I am relaying this second hand via what my wife experienced.

My x1 settings say the OS is 6.2.10217.0

Edit:

I moved to my real computer and was also curious about the details of the update...so here is a link from MS that explains all about how to deal with updates and whatnot.

The party system suffers greatly if you or your friends nat settings are on strict or moderate. Check this By going to my games and apps settings and network if you or him aren't both open then you will have problems.

This link should help sort out your nat issues.

http://www.entertain...ter-connections

Dead rising as well as other games depend greatly on the party system working in order to get into games.

These are the settings we managed to get party working correctly.

Moderate - open
Open - moderate
Open - open

These are the settings it didn't work correctly with

Strict - strict
Strict - moderate
Moderate - strict
Open - strict
Strict - open

As for moderate - moderate I'm unsure as we never got that combination.

I managed to get mine on moderate by chance when he was open by going on wifi then plugging the network lead back in. That was only a temp fix and I had to follow the steps in the link I posted to fix it properly and I have been open ever since.
