Before I start, I've got to say I have not made this topic with the intention of it turning into a "Where will GTA VI be based" topic, considering R* will probably chose an already established location.

But thinking, whether 5 years or 15 years down the line (assuming GTA is around for that long) Rockstar will eventually need a new city instead of rehasing the same old 5. Rockstar also like to make them cities with distinct and recognisable cultures, thus the reason culture-less places such as Philedelphia haven't been chosen. So what locations do you think could possibly work for GTA, whether they'll ever actually appear or not?

I've been saying since San Andreas: Savannah, GA.

R* had some small town elements, and Savannah has both a beautiful historic district and a urban area. Their crime rate is incredibly high too.

There a very few that all the features required seen in NYC, Miami, LA, SF and LV. London would be the only other.

Honolulu Hawaii. Or better yet, the whole state of Hawaii. This place is a giant playground for gta and could really be great for the storyline, Going island hoping, great mixed culture and characters, also a really good setting to show off awesome next gen graphics.

It's about time they made a 3D Game set in the UK (present day), so I'd say:
- London
- Cardiff
- Edinburgh
- Manchester
- Leeds
- Birmingham
- Glasgow

There wouldn't be any challenge in a model day UK game, considering the fact that none of the average cops are armed

The problem is though that Honolulu has a very low crime rate. Regarding Savannah in Georgia, Atlanta would make a better GTA location actually. It's a more well-known city and the crime rate is higher from what I know. I think a GTA game set in the Deep South would be fairly interesting.

I would personally say Chicago and Detroit, but I don't see bad things in current 3 cities because there are still clichés in those cities that weren't used yet.

Except the cities that have already apered in GTA series Carcer City and Cotonmouth. Cities like London don´t realy fit into the GTA universe.

even though san fierro was in SA id love to seem them remake it how it really is, you have lots of different parts of the city like downtown then parts of downtown are hoods like fillmore and mission district where theres hispanic gangs and sunnydale where theres samoan gangs hunters points district near candlestcik is hella ghetto, plus across the bridge is oakland with it's own culture especially the muscle car culture of northern ca, I think a northern san andreas would be great because it's really diverse

Chicago and Detroit are good ideas. They'd be a bit different, and fit pretty well in the GTA series.
