The main idea is just to not crash your car into the others' and also not crash it into the side walls. Drive slower in the curves and try to accelerate when possible. Don't worry too much about your opponents, they're mainly bad drivers. As I said, try not to crash into the others and you'll win the race easily. There's not much to recommend since this race basically depends on your San Andreas driving skills, so each person has their own.

Here are also some pro-tips, the ones above were given from my own experience.

QUOTE
First, focus on staying within the walls and making the turns well. Hitting the walls too many times will result in a destroyed vehicle before you finish the race. Further, collisions with the AI drivers will frequently cause you to spin out, ruining your chances of winnning.

Once you got the hang of making your way through the laps you can start worrying about your position in the field. The race is long so you can make your moves slowly. With luck your competitors will crash themselves and you can just move into the lead.

One definite hint is to try to get in the lead in the chaotic beginning of the race, the sooner you have the throng of AI cars behind you the better. One way to accomplish this fairly quickly is to take the inside curve immediately upon the start of the race, then methodically overtake whatever cars are in front of you.

Once you have most of the competition behind you, it may help to switch to first person view. There won't be so many AI cars to keep an eye on and the track is more important. By using a first person view you can more quickly observe and react to the tight corners (the race is long and you can't take that much damage from bumping into walls and such).

While the start and the early part of the race can be very frustrating, once you are in the lead you can relax a bit and focus on navigating safely around the track.

Destroying the competition isn't an option as they'll re-spawn.

The reason why you mostly found Save N' Plays in this forum is because that's what this one is mostly used for. Sure, topics like yours are also accepted, but just very rarely. Besides, as I already said, there aren't really any tips to give away about this challenge, it all depends on how good a driver you are. Good luck!

I am close to 50 attempts into this race lol took me about 35 to finally get into first place and have only made it through 8 laps ..driving skill is around 70 percent . Should I try to get 100 %driving skill first

Is this the hardest race in the game ?? All I have left is the quarry and all races ......

If its not the hardest does anyone know what is and how it compares to this one ??? thanks guys

Well considering that you haven't done the Tournament Races yet, you could consider this as the easiest one. While this one is only in an 8-alike track, the others are races around the cities / desert & badlands. I'm not sure if you'll find the other races easier if you have this much trouble with this one. Having 100% Driving Skill won't help much either. The best and only tips that could be given you've already been given in my post above. As I also said there, this race doesn't really depend on good tips, but your own personal driving experience. Practice makes perfect!

The least we could do is to actually pass the race for you.

I think Ill have better luck with the street races ... Getting the car to last the whole race was the hardest part
