Yeah, they showed the box and the headset with a V logo on the side of it. At the end he also mentioned that more V info will be coming in the weeks ahead.

Sony killed it. As more of an Xbox fan, that was painful to watch, but undeniably impressive.

As a Xbox fan, Microsoft forced me into hating them. Sony just gave me a reason to get over Xbox.

I'm getting a PS4.

Honestly, I can deal with having to pay $5 a month for PSN.

Along with online access, you get all of the things associated with Playstation Plus, so it's a pretty good deal IMO. I'm very happy with the conference today. My favorite part was the huge applause for the "PS3 will support used games" lol.gif

Personally, I thought both were quite average. PS4 retaling for $399, having no used games restrictions and no DRM is the only plus. Not a single game tonight has blown me away. Sure, some looked good, but no must-buy's.

So what got me interested this year?

Assassins Creed IV is definitely the game of E3 2013, for me. Gameplay footage was amazing. Classic assassin stealth combined seamlessly with AC III's naval missions? F*ck yeah! But I knew I'd love AC IV anyway, so no surprise.

Batman AO, well, classic Arkham game. I liked new gadgets and what they done with Detective Vision, I hope we'll actually do some detective work this time around. AC had some of it, but mostly in side-missions like Hush's and Deadshot's and I'd like more focus on that. And I really don't get why they didn't get Conroy and Hamill to do the voice work. Hamill, okay, he wanted to retire, but why not Conroy? The new voice is similar anyway, so why not save yourself the trouble and have the guy, who was always a perfect Batman, do the work. But I'd like more extensive look at gameplay and the city and not just a trailer.

Destiny - art style is amazing. Really, I just love how the game looks. But I'm still worried about the story and gameplay. They didn't get me interested yet.

Battlefield 4 - Battlefield 3.5. I love the idea of evolving maps and using the enviroment to take out enemies, but I'm worried that the game will be still "I want to be realisic, but not ARMA realistic, so I end up being a mutated spawn of BC2 and CoD", just like BF 3. The Commander is a great addition too, so unless DICE f*cks gameplay up again, I have some hope for the game.

Star Wars: Battlefront - that is sort of a surprise hit, I guess, but we still don't have anything but the announcement, so I'm just happy that it's coming and waiting to see more of it. Like I said in the game thread, I just hope DICE will make the game like previous Battlefronts instead of turning it into Battlefield with lightsabers.

Saints Row IV - I'm changing my mind on the game. Superpowers seem to be done more extensively and creatively than in any other superhero game and that character trailer that came out a few days back was great. But it's still definitely not a full price purchase for me.

Halo - expected. In every way. Master Chief, rugged, alone, walking through desert trying to find Cortana/deal with her death? That's exactly what I thought the tone of next Halo was going to be. But I'm excited. Halo 4 had the best story of all Halo games, so this could be great too. Let's hope the multiplayer will be just as good as the story this time around.

And that's pretty much it. I don't care for next gen consoles, so I'm not really surprised this E3 wasn't as rich on interesting games for me this year.

Wow!

I just got home from work a couple of hours ago, and I have just finished watching the Ubi and Sony press conferences.

I cried. cryani.gif

Seriously. When Jack Tretton came back on and said what he said, all my fears for the future of games were dispelled
and I shed a tear. I already had a lump in my throat at Mad Max, because every now and then I think how I would bring
Mad Max to a game, and it just looked like my dreams. Then Jack saved the industry and my emotions got the better of me.

Sony oozed class whereas microsoft showed they have none. The writing has been on the wall for MS since the middle
of the current console cycle, but over the past few weeks we have really seen how scheming, greedy and controlling they are.
They have put fear into a lot of people's minds and did nothing to allay it. I have never seen such an outpouring of grief
and anger from a global community, who lets face it just want to have fun and leave the troubles of the real world outside
while they play a great game.

I'm all about forgiveness and giving people a chance to change, but if microsoft don't change then they deserve to become
as obsolete as their original xbox servers that they shut down. Sony have given us a choice - no actually they have given us
no choice, because it takes at least two options to have a choice - and Xbox One is not an option.

Jack Tretton is truly a folk lore hero whom bards will once tell the tale of how he once single handedly slay the green dragon and brought peace to gamers everywhere! All hail Tretton!

Multiplayer isn't free anymore, if that's what you're asking about.
Other than that, it's not always online, has no DRM, cheaper, more powerful.

So we have to pay for the PSN? So, after buying a game, if it requires updates to even start up - we'll have to pay MORE money to have those updates installed?
How can I possibly be expected to buy a console if it's going to extort me for money like that?

No, you dingus.. PSN works like it does now. But the multiplayer "experience" is tied to the PSN+ account.
You can still watch you TV-TV-TV and MOVIES-MOVIES-MOVIES and listen to your MUSIC-MUSIC-MUSIC without paying for the PSN+.

Oh .. and that reminded me.. They said "Nine Inch Nails" .. Mmm ... Trent Reznor....

I might give Sony's music app a try since Xbox Mush*t asks you top pay for it every now and then.

Worked fine, had good music in it. Definately better than using YouTube via PS crappy browser. biggrin.gif

Then my money will be well spentl, in that case.
I wanna take a break for a while. I might even listen to a few of my friends' tracks.

I believe that Sony isn't forcing game companies to make the games have DMR but they are allowing them to have it if they want.

And a little video.
