If it works for all the little kids who buy the sh*t out of Call of Duty with thier incredibly retarded DLC, it should work for Rockstar. I still can't believe they did this though.

So if it's my fault, it's also yours you hypocrite.

10 steps ahead of you, I graduated to PC kingdom where real gaming value is found long, long ago where the game is cheaper and you get all the dlc for the cost of or less than the game itself on consoles icon14.gif

and if anyone plans to poop on me for my opinion, look in the mirror, at least I can sense a rip off vs a value.

I'm not sure if this is worthy of its own thread, but I agree with you. I'm going for the standard edition. 2 reasons:
- The only thing I would kinda miss is the blimp thing, but I think R* is going to clarify that one, because it would be highly unlikely that they would cut that feature from the game.
- I'm not supporting the business model where the cut stuff, only to let you pay an absurd price to get the 'full' experience. Spending development time on possible DLC and bonus features BEFORE release date, is just pure nonsense and there is no way to justify it: It should have been part of the game on release.

So yeah, if you don't like this new model, don't support it. The vanilla game will be insane, and will be worth the 60 euro.

I suppose, in a collective sense, you could argue it is the consumer's 'fault' however the company still has to implement it. It is still their policy, whether or not gamers enable them to get away with it.

So is this the thread where people complain about the editions?

I can't see anything wrong with it if there's pages upon pages of people liking it.

I'll be buying the stranded edition but I'll be putting down a pre order to make sure it's delivered for release. I'll possibly get the blimp for doing this. As for the rest of the in-game items I'll buy them when on the PSN if not unlockable in the game. I'm not paying anything more than I need to on this game. 15 more for the special edition isn't worth it to me and the collectors edition is out of the question.

I'm looking forward to the compliant topics when the in-game stuff is made avaible to everyone because they bought these editions thinking that's the only way to get the items.

People don't understand that its not how much you can fit on the disc but how much you can AFFORD to fit on the disc. Once they go over budget that is when they start adding DLC, its a wise move unless you want rockstar to lose profit and go bust.

Why don't you pre-order? It doesn't matter which version you get, as long as you pre-order, you get the blimp. I seriously don't understand why people are so upset over pre-ordering.

Erm the blimp is a pre order bonus, it doesn't matter what edition you get as long as you pre order it. So the blimp doesn't actually cost anything.

EDIT: ops, already been said, didn't see that post above this one.

Op is right, it is the costumers fault (not all ofcourse). If the costumer will pay 2.5 more money for a game to get 3extra vehicles, then no wonder they release this sh*t.
I keep thinking: I don't want the t-shirt extra's just the ingame extra's. Why not release a version with everything in it for 10 more. But no, I won't be paying 10 more for a few cars...
Moral of the story, R* is screwing us.. Just as well, they'll save me 60 euro's for a pc version now. Thx R* :^:

/Rant, I'm all better now. :)
