if you don't like it then don't buy it. to demand that anything and everything R* can think of for V be covered under the long-standing price of $60 is a bit juvenile and moochie, IMO.

it's kinda' like getting angry that adding bacon to a burger night cost a little extra at Burger Shot.

I think its just that you have access to them right from the start... otherwise, you will gain access to the same things later on as you progress through the game.

EXACTLY. These are ADDITIONS and BONUSES, not cut out from the game.

I think PS4/XO versions will get all the DLC as part of the game plus extras to guarantee you to double dip. That is the saddest part for me that RS knows that many will double dip and yet they still pull this sh*t. confused.gif

I don't think so.

But if that was the case, then I'd dare to say that that way is better than getting it "free" by paying money.

Just leave Ferocious Banger alone.

He is on every thread about this subject complaining.

Its just f*cking additional content stop f*ckING COMPLAINING.

Finally we are getting this game.

If I want I can order the special edition or use my extra cash for the CD edition but I dont want 25% faster boosts or other stuff, there is already plenty ingame.

No. Only when the subject was brought up, I voiced my opinion, unlike a lot of you people who know nothing but to throw ad-hominem insults at me - for having a different opinion to that of yours. Yeah, good going.

So wait, Rockstar, a BUSINESS, isn't allowed to make a little more money, which is pretty much the point of starting a business? Blasphemy!!!

Yeah, it kinda sucks that it's some exclusive stuff, i mean, why keep it from everyone else?

Hopefully R* learn this time and next time they keep it as it was.

It's not just abilities, it's weapons, clothes, tattoos and vehicles.

Why shouldn't i be able to drive the Hotknife? It's the most iconic vehicle in San Andreas and i was superpumped to drive it in GTA V but as it turns out, i have to buy a f*cking collectors edition for it(if i didn't get it wrong and it's still in the game for me) and the blimp? That's only for pre-orders!
Sure, i'm gonna pre-order, but still, sh*tty move R*...

Couldn't they just have added some real life stuff?

To be honest, I don't like this DLC, Pre Order bullsh*t and what not either.
IIRC R* wasn't like this. Like, filthy Electronic Assholes.

Holy f*ck. You guys are acting like the pre-order content junk is a whole set of vehicles, mission arc, or something large that contributes to the game. When in fact, they're just a couple of petty items that barely make a difference.

It's not about the content itself, it's about the fact that they cut it out from the game.

I also want the Khamelion, the Hotknife, the guns, the tattoos, the clothes and everything else without paying for it, the Blimp is also a bad thing, why only for pre-orders?
R* has never done this before.

i don't get it... are you undergoing a physical examination? turn your head.

if you are referring to having gotten "everything" in a near decade old inferior game by today's standards then I don't know what to tell you...

with a seemingly static game price of $60 the demand for everything, on a grand scale, with several MP options, in HD, maybe even 3D, etc., for the same price is unrealistic. I don't mind paying for a quality product as long as it's reasonable. I don't expect the people who create this game to skip a pay check just to give me additional free stuff in the game.

and I hear where you are coming from, OP... I just don't sympathize or agree.

I'd bet that this pre-order stuff is available to everyone in the game, but just takes time to unlock or costs in-game $... the pre-order will just provide a "cheat" to get it earlier and free... we'll see...

R* is a business first and foremost - they're not your family or your buddy. That doesn't mean they hate you, or don't care at all about you. So don't feel let down, or feel hurt because they 'betrayed you'.
I feel for the guys who want the extra stuff, and either cannot afford it, or just can't justify it, and are 'taking a stand'
I myself am skipping the extras. And I'm definitely not losing sleep over it. I guess I'm lucky in that I don't see any of these "bonuses" breaking the game for me. I see it as maybe 15 bucks worth of extras. And for myself, most of that is just "fluff".

Yes, it is such a disaster, omg like seriously they took out 1 car omg and a few challenges omg.

Anyways, why EA's direction? Dude this is the new STANDARD in gaming. Deal with it, you may not like it all but you cant change it.

Sorry were not all 12 years old to enjoy this sh*tty ass "STANDARD".
"Back in my day" you got what you f*cking payed for. No installments, no extra fee. 'Get your sh*t and get out'.

It's like you'd have to pay $10 when you go to see the original Mona Lisa painting.

But her nose is covered up with a napkin, and a dude is standing beside the painting going: "Wanna see her nose? Gotta pay extra!"

"new STANDARD" my ass. More like BULL-f*ckING-HORSEsh*t.

^^ This.

What they should have done was set a new standard in special edition content as they did with their DLC's. Taking AWAY gameplay elements like flying the blimp if you don't preorder is bonkers in a game like this. Flying the blimp is basic gameplay that should be available to everyone who buys the game, no matter at what price they buy in or at what time they make the purchase. (Now a special painjob for the blimp would have been a different story.) What they should do as special edition bonuses is add silly items that don't fit with the style of the main game but are fun to play with: hot rods and electric cars, crazy Saints Row style weapons, custom thematic painjobs and tattoos. Getting a free pistol in-game because you paid for it in real life must end. What are we talking about here, CoD?

This practice is disgusting and if a company that we all know and love start doing it is an indicator that we must do something about it

But instead people are turning on eachother and defending Rockstar for doing this to THEM, if you are doin this then you are either someone that already Pre-Ordered the game (which shows how much you care about your fellow gamers) or a blinded Fan

What will you lose from protesting this practice? it's not a question of some stupid Blimp, it's a matter of principle

They are meaningless pre-order bonuses and 99% of current gen games had them, it's not a DLC and it is nothing new. This is like the 10th time where I have to explain this to people, not just to on this forum but others as well. confused.gif

Again, I'm not defending this practise but everyone does it not just Rockstar. I understand your concerns, but people comparing R* to EA, Activision and Capcom need to calm down and stop overreacting. smile.gif

I want the bag and the key.

The in game stuff is cool too.

If you have XBox 360 version send me a message when the game comes out and you can drive my Khamelion. You may then blow my brains out and collect my weapon.

I'm serious, can you explain the difference between pre-order and DLCs?

if those are pre-order bonuses that will NEVER be relased for the vanilla game, that's bad.
If they will be released in weeks/month as DLCs (with a price)... well'they are DLCs, and that's bad too

The only DLCs/expansion I bought was EFLC, so maybe I don't know exactly how those things work... is there a third options?

I don't think this is very fair. Just because the blimp and other stuff seems cool to you doesn't necessarily make you entitled to receiving it as part of the game. It also doesnt mean you can speak for everyone else. Has there been any confirmation that this content is indeed stuff "cut from the game" or could it be that this stuff was made with the intention of making it DLC?

At least the company here in question isn't nickel and diming us with micro transactions like EA. My hope is R* doesnt stoop to this level, but who knows, every company needs to stay competitive to stay alive. However, by the standard in this thread, no developer should ever have pre order DLC because it will always be considered "already part of the game", which just seems like narrow logic. If that was the case, nearly any DLC announced by R* will be criticized by some people as being part of the game.

Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? The IN GAME things you get with the special editions will come out as DLC after a few months I guarantee it, and it'll probably only be a dollar or two. So get over it, it's not a big deal. And the in game things you get are't that awesome. It's not like you get a fleet of exclusive cars, or exclusive missions that no one else can do. If it was huge things like that then yea I'd be more upset but its 3 weapons, about 3 cars, and some outfits and tattoos. None of those are completely game changing.

True, and it's kinda good that if you pay more, you get more as well... It wouldn't worth anything if it was just a steel box.

Well just about all Pre-Order Content is DLC, but not all DLC is Pre-Order Content.

Generally PO Content is stuff that doesn't expand the storyline or significantly alter the game, while DLC (excluding PO Content) does expand the storyline and/or significantly alter the game.

Of course some Non-PO Content DLC doesn't expand the storyline or significantly alter the game (Horse Armor from Oblivion) but is just something extra.

The issues arise when people feel that the Developer is cutting content off the disc in order to make extra money. Particularly egregious examples include Marvel vs Capcom 3, Asura's Wrath and Street Fighter 4.

These bits of PO Content are more along the lines of Horse Armor, although really cool Horse Armor. They will be available later.

Incidentally, look how terrible MVC 3, Asura's Wrath, and SF4 were with DLC. Each had On Disc DLC (the DLC part was just a key to unlock the ON DISC CONTENT) that was substantial. MVC and SF had a number of locked out characters, Asura's Wrath had the TRUE ENDING (actual DLC title) locked.

Jesus f*cking Christ people, stop complaining about the blimp. Anyone remember the pre-order incentives from Red Dead Redemption? THEY WERE ALL RELEASED AS DLC LATER ON. How much are they each? One measly dollar guys. (80 pts MS store)

user posted image

If you don't pre-order the blimp on time, you'll be able to rebuy it in the future for $1 online.

Want to know the best part guys? I never used the Deadly Assassin or the Golden Guns pack either; even after I bought them. The blimp is gonna be slow as f*ck, everyone's gonna want to fly a faster plane anyways in V.
